We came for only 3 nights, but wound up staying a whole week, if you’re staying for a shorter time period, you won’t be asking yourself what to do in Kas, because truly there is a ton there to keep you busy. From scuba diving in Kas to a Kas Kekova boat tour we spent entire days at sea before returning to the marina area for some delicious food and a fun night out.
If relaxing is more your thing Kas has some beach clubs in town, but also two world renowned beaches, Kaputaş Beach and Patara Beach, nearby, either of which may be the best beach in Turkey.
We loved our time in Kas, Antalya, Turkey and can’t wait to head back. We hope you can fit in some time to visit on your next Turkey summer holiday as well. KAS, TURKEY | Best Things To Do In Beautiful Kaş
Kaş is a beautiful seaside town on the Mediterranean coast of Turkey. We stayed there for about a week and in this video, we highlight the best things to do in Kaş and the surrounding area. Kaş located about 188km to the west of Antalya and is known for its whitewashed houses, chill vibe and coastal views. It’s hip, but not as commercialized as Antalya, which means it attracts fewer crowds and maintains its charm.
Here are the best things to do in Kaş, Turkey:
7. Enjoy one of the many beautiful viewpoints in town. Kaş is built at the base of a high cliff, making for breathtaking views. The good news is, you don’t necessarily have to hike to one! The D400 highway that winds down into Kas offers one of the most spectacular views.
6. Hike part of the Lycian Way. There are many sections you can choose from., but we decided to hike from Mermaid Beach to Limanağzı Bay. This hike is relatively flat and is only about 3km or 1.8miles one-way.
5. Visit Patara Beach, which is the longest beach in Turkey. It’s an important nesting area for turtles during the summer months. But besides that, Patara is unique because of its large sand dunes that resemble a desert. You can also visit the Xanthos ruins here, which are a UNESCO world heritage site.
4. The ancient city of Myra ranks at number 4. It is located in the town of Demre, about 45 kilometers, or half an hour, from Kas. Myra consists of Lycian rock tombs which are built into the cliff face.
3. At number 3, we have the old town of Kaş. Home to little boutiques, lovely cafes and cute restaurants, and ancient rock tombs, this part of town is perfect for a morning or evening stroll.
2. The runner-up activity is to relax at the most beautiful beach around Kaş. This is called Kaputaş Beach. Located about 21 kilometers west of the town, you can visit this spectacular beach by boat or car.

Today we are sharing a vlog about what to do in Kas. We did all of these things in one day and it was such a relaxing day. We had a lot of fun!

Kas Turkey Vlog 2022: What to do in Kas and Kaputas Beach, the Hidden Gem You Must See
On my trip to Turkey from Delhi, I made a stop at Kas for 3 days as well to explore this coastal town. If you are wondering whether you should include it too, then here is everything you need to know:
????️ Where is Kas Located?
Kas is located on the Southern side of Turkey between Fethiye and Antalya. It is a 1.5-hour bus ride from Antalya and is a popular coastal town for vacationing and heading to the nearby Greek islands.
???? How to Reach
You can get a direct bus to Kas from Fethiye, Istanbul, and Antalya throughout the year.
However, if you visit between May and August, you will get direct buses from other parts of Turkey as well such as Pamukkale, Goreme, etc.
The average cost of the bus is between 200 - 500 Turkish Lira depending on where you are travelling from.
????️ Where to Stay
In Kas, you will mostly find good and high-end stays and very few hostels.
Personally, I stayed in 8 Pansiyon which cost me and my friend 4500 INR for three nights. This includes an amazing breakfast in the morning as well. Moreover, the accommodation is just 5 minutes from the dock so it is quite accessible.

????️ What to Do in Kas
There is a lot you can do in Kas such as walking to nearby viewpoints, going on a boat tour, visiting the nearby beaches, and more.
A visit to the famous Kaputas Beach is a must as it is one of the most beaches to explore this side. The water is clear and exceedingly blue and cool to the touch.
However, be careful when using public transport as the last bus back to Kas from the beach is somewhere between 5 - 5.30 PM.
???? Food and Grocery in Kas
In terms of food, Kas is a little expensive and focuses mainly on seafood. If you are on a budget trip, there are a few small shops selling toast and the likes at a reasonable price.
One of the best ways to save in Kas on food is by buying groceries and preparing your own food using the kitchen at your hostel or Airbnb.

Sharing how we managed to shop for groceries for 5 days with less than $10 at the Kas Friday Market, finally exploring and swimming in the world famous Kaputas Beach and having WAY too much fun while discovering Kas at night! This Turkey travel vlog qith give you a general idea of all the many fun things to do in Kas!! We loved this Turkish beach town :)
We hope you like today's video :) It's the first time we got our shit together and also the first time we kind of drunk fought on camera LOL (it was funny no worries!)

Beautiful Seaside Town on the Mediterranean Coast | Kaş/Kas, Turkey
Kas is a beautiful and charming seaside town in Turkey's Antalya province well worth visiting for its beach vibes, cafes, picturesque views and historical sites too.

Friendly hosts, very clean, spacious, gorgeous views but just note there's no elevator in the building.
▸ Cafe Corner Restaurant

Located in the town centre near shops and market stalls.

TURKEY'S BEST Kept Secret. Welcome to KAS in Antalya. Travel to the South of Turkey ????????
Welcome to the South of Turkey. This week we’re in Kaş Turkey! This ended up being one of our favourite towns that we visited while in Turkey and is definitely a gem in Southern Turkey.
Book this apartment in Kaş:
To start off the video we head just slightly outside of town where we discover an amazing ancient amphitheater called the Hellenistic theatre, it dates back to about 100 BC and holds about 4000 people. We walk around a bit, take in the views and fly the drone for better views.
Later on we head into the beautiful town, do some shopping and also try the most popular drink in Turkey- Turkish tea as well as Apple Tea.
Afterwards we check out what Kaş offers as far as beaches. First we check out a beach right in town, it’s small but beautiful and also surrounded by lots of hotels and restaurants where you can stay for the day. After this we walk about 20 minutes outside of town to another of the incredible beaches, this one is called Büyükçakıl Plajı or Big Pebble Beach.
To finish off the day, we head back to our apartment rental, do a quick tour of the property and then take in the most amazing sunset!
ABOUT KAS
Kaş is a seaside town on the Mediterranean coast in southwestern Turkey. The modern town occupies the site of ancient Antiphellos, with still-visible ruins including a theater. The 4th-century-B.C. Lion Tomb, with 2 carved lion heads, is one of many Lycian rock tombs in the area. The town center has whitewashed houses and buildings covered in bougainvillea. The Lycian Way, a marked trail, passes by the town.

We hope you enjoy this fun day trip from Kas Turkey. We are constantly blown away by how beautiful Turkey's beaches are! In this video we did a day trip to Cirali beach and Olympos. We did not expect this beach to be this different and beautiful. When we come back to Turkey, we are definitely staying in Cirali Beach for a few nights. Definitely add this place to your list of places to visit. The vibe there was just right. Super chill and small town, but there was something about it.
