Fukui Station: The station features dinosaur monuments and replicas of fossil footprints.

Lake Kuzuryu: Enjoy the scenery of the elegant and vast Lake Kuzuryu and the spectacular mountain scenery surrounding the lake.

Katsuyama Dino Park: An attraction park featuring life-size dinosaur models.

Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum: A natural history museum focusing on dinosaurs where you can experience digging for fossils at the largest dinosaur fossil excavation site in Japan.

Tokyo Midtown Hibiya: Offers a collection of upscale shops, restaurants and entertainment.

Ginza: One of Tokyo’s most famous tourist destinations lined with luxury goods retailers.


■Niigata

Echigo-Yuzawa Station: A warm, hospitable railway station with a host of things to do, including delicious eats, Japanese sake, and hot springs.

Naeba Ski Resort: One of Japan’s largest and most convenient winter resorts featuring restaurants, shops and ski school.

■Ishikawa
Kanazawa Station: The only Japanese train station to be selected as one of the world’s 14 most beautiful stations.

Higashi Chaya District: A teahouse district founded around 200 years ago near the castle. The traditional streets and alleys are lined with restaurants and cafes operating in restored “kominka” (Japanese folk houses). You can rent a kimono to wear while strolling around the area.

Kenroku-en Garden: One of the Three Great Gardens of Japan, established in the 17th century. It is a delight to walk around the spacious garden and see its ponds, hills, houses and tearooms.

Kanazawa Castle: A symbol of Kanazawa’s history, built over 400 years ago. The stone walls, crafted by many artisans using various techniques not found in other castles, and the majestic gates are well worth the trip.

Yamashiro Onsen: A spa town of some 1300 years standing, where hot springs and traditional cuisine await.

■Nagasaki:Wakaran Mixed Culture
As a major trading port, Nagasaki saw the flourishing of “Wakaran” culture, a mixture of Japanese, Chinese and Western cultures.
Tour the beautiful Glover House, the oldest wooden Western-style building in Japan.
At Ryotei Kagetsu, enjoy Nagasaki’s unique Shippoku Ryori, a hybrid cuisine with Japanese, Chinese and Western elements.
Each October, the city hosts the Nagasaki Kunchi festival. As a symbol of Wakaran culture, it is a nationally-recognized Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property.
The various city districts each prepare their own unique dashi float and dance through the streets twirling them in the air.
All the dashi come together at Suwa Shrine, the main festival venue, for a colorful and vibrant mass celebration.

The traditional fire festival called ”Nebuta”is hold in 8/2-8/7 every year and the number of visitors reach 3 milion.
