Uyuni Salt Flats Tour (Salar de Uyuni Bolivia) 3 Days in 9 Minutes
Day1: Uyuni to Colchani, Piles of Salt, Eyes of Water, Incahuasi island, Salt Hotel in San Juan
Day2: Salar de Chiguana, Ollagüe Volcano, Lagoons and Flamingos, Colored lakes.
Day3: Geysers, Thermal Water, Desert Salvador Dali, Green Lagoon, Villa Mar, Uyuni
Tipp: Don't book at Camel Tours. We were not satisfied with our driver Roberto, since he pushes very aggressively to keep the schedule. You'll have more then enough time at the market to buy souvenirs but will be urged to hurry up at the sights like salt flat, salt hotel or Geysirs. No sense of customer is king was visible :-(

UYUNI SALT FLAT TOUR - DAY 1 | Bolivian Travel Vlog
The largest 'mirror' on the planet - the Bolivian Salt Falts, also known as 'Salar de Uyuni'.
This salty destination has been on our bucket list since learning about it. Getting to see it in-person was wild. Since we used to live in Upstate NY, white cold plains are just a seasonal thing; however, it's usually just snow, not a vast evaporated prehistoric lake.
The tour we signed up for was pricier than some tourist were willing to pay. We did some research and highly suggest to do your own before signing up for any, especially cheaper tours. The Salt Flats are impressive but many have died on them, many locals and many tourist. Price doesn't exactly equate to safety but just be careful! The tour was well worth it in our opinion and we got to meet some awesome locals during it! If we could do it again, we might just stay on the Salt Flats instead of doing the whole three day tour exploring the surrounding area of Uyuni.

In this video we arrive exhausted into the fascinating town of Uyuni in Bolivia, we did not really know what to expect but it was a really cool experience, all though no one tells you just how cold the place is and that hardly anywhere has proper heating. We spent our first day just walking through the streets and seeing such a different world to our own lives back home.
We were both feeling too un well to really speak as the bus journey from San Pedro de Atacama had filled with dust and made us pretty much lose our voices, but we only had limited time here so we wanted to take a look and show you around this awesome little town, before we head out for some adventures nearby.
Here is what to expect in Uyuni, it’s definitely a place to visit at least once in your lifetime!

Uyuni Salt Flats Tour - Salar Uyuni Bolivia
The Bolivian Salt Flats just outside of Uyuni are world renowned attracting thousands of travellers every year. To cater for the hundreds of tourists there are hundreds of Salar De Uyuni Tour options.
There is the popular and more know route that you can take from Uyuni Bolivia, but there are also a few more options, Including starting in Tupiza. Tupiza to Uyuni tours is popular as you get another day through terrain that you wouldn't get from Uyuni.
There is also the option to go from Chile, all tours vary on price and experience, so its best to do your research to see what suits you. We decided to go from Tupiza to Uyuni as Tupiza is the closest border town to the North of Argentina where we crossed.
The tour lasted four days and crossed some of the most hostile and beautiful landscapes I have ever seen including the famous Laguna Colorada.
After talking to people who do other forms of the tour it sounds like our option was the best, because of the extra day you get from Tupiza. But I'll let you be the judge, here are the full four days from Tupiza to Uyuni Bolivia.

This video recaps the highlights from our 3-day Bolivia Salt Flat Tour in March 2017. We did this tour from Uyuni with Salty Desert Aventours visiting Salar de Uyuni and Eduardo Avaroa Andean Fauna National Reserve. We think it's one of the best off-road adventures in the world. We shot most of this video using our Samsung S6 phone and the aerial shots were captured with our Phantom 3 Standard drone.
