MINIMALIST FASHION & Wardrobe? Only 7 Dresses? Capsule Wardrobe ~ MINIMALISM [Extreme Minimalist]

#minimalist #minimalistfashion #minimalistwardrobe

In this video I compare the broader terminology of minimalist wardrobe or minimalist fashion, with my own personal style as a minimalist. Along with the values within minimalism of having a small wardrobe or minimal capsule that is functional, comfortable and stylish. A Minimalist mindset to fashion approach is my personal style, whilst also aspiring to remain elegant and smart. I like to feel free in my clothing.

I wanted to explore throughout my time in Greece whether I would realistically want to wear a dress everyday, given the appropriate climate. I think other than the odd pair of linen trousers & shirt for an occasional cloudy day, aswell as a pair of shorts… the results are that I would given the appropriate climate, definitely downsize, minimize and declutter my wardrobe even more from my 35 item wardrobe.

I’ve enjoyed trying out what I’d definitely aspire to live in style wise if I lived in an all year round warm climate. I don’t think it comes much more effortlessly elegant than just wearing simple dresses. Albeit ones that allow for movement. Additionally, for those that also want a very small wardrobe like myself. I think it’s great that dresses make up a complete outfit, opposed to separates. Whilst minimalist fashion as a term may allude to the straight androgynous silhouettes of classic designs, I believe minimalism and fashion can also pair together the new movement into organic freedom and not organised structure. ????

I also have discussed in other videos trying to buy sustainable clothing. Natural materials, such as linen and cotton. Along with thinking about how many clothing items we truly will use and therefore need as minimalists trying to consume less. Sustainability definitely has a place in true minimalist fashion, moreover the minimalist wardrobe.

200 Meals for $160 | Budget Friendly Meals | Emergency Grocery Budget Meal Plan

This meal plan includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks for 2 FULL weeks. That’s 14 days of meals for around $160.

Some of these recipes take a little bit of time so it’s up to you if you’d like to spend a little more for the convenience of some ready-made substitutions.

I highly recommend looking for the least expensive grocery store near you, like Walmart or Aldi. I currently shop at Aldi, as it’s the cheapest option near me, but be sure to compare prices before shopping by using the stores’ app and searching for the products you need.

????‍???? {minimalist} work wardrobe | capsule wardrobe for the office!

welcome to my work capsule wardrobe video! as I mentioned in the video, I work as a travel agent, and I do have to select my clothes from the uniform options that we are given - though we do get a wide variety of choices. In this video, I show you my 9-5, professional minimalist capsule wardrobe :)

How to Create a KIDS CAPSULE wardrobe! | Minimalist Kids

*You won't pay any extra but a small percentage will go towards us improving the quality and frequency of our content. WE REALLY APPRECIATE IT!

We have recently been on a major decluttering kick, in efforts to make our transition into full-time travel a little easier. We have downsized our wardrobes dramatically, and have received some questions asking how to do this with kids. So we are going to show you exactly how we created a minimal capsule wardrobe for Jonah and Jude in our video My KID'S Minimalist Wardrobe.

Step 1: Choose your pieces wisely
Some people get obsessed with the numbers, for example only 30 pieces total, and won’t grow or shrink their wardrobes - just swap things out when need be. We are a little more laid back, or maybe even practical about it, we just tried to really evaluate exactly what our kids need and try not to add anything else.

Step 2: Choose a base
Choose a base
Black or Blue
We chose black as our base because I think it lends itself to more versatility- a lot of their items we can dress up or down and the darker shades tend to hide stains or imperfections more easily than lighter colors - super important, especially with younger kids!

Step 3: Choose colors that compliment your base
This is where we have fun, right now we are into maroon as our accent color and stick with neutrals for the rest. This goes across the board for our entire family, so we usually coordinate together.

We avoid white- at all costs, it never stays white for us.

We actually pick colors and patterns that don’t stain or show stains easily

And we spend a little more on high-quality items that last - like boots that will get through an entire season

Step 4: Make exceptions
Personally, we are not huge fans of busy patterns and characters- but sometimes the kids are just obsessed so we pepper their wardrobe with their favs if we get them as gifts.

Full disclosure: we also have a handful of “we don’t care clothes” for painting, extremely dirty play, etc. We will probably pair this down to one each for traveling.

Step 5: Mix and match
You may only have a limited number of items but the beauty of this is you can mix and match and create multiple looks

Did you know I have a playlist of tech videos from my van build?

I also have a playlist of just travel videos if you don't like all the tech stuff:

============================

I left the rat race to live full time on the road and so can you! The key to freedom is to lower your expenses. In my former life, I managed a company that struggled to stay out of the red. This is where I learned to hone my frugality skills and use them to my own advantage by becoming a minimalist at home. The biggest expense we all have living in a sticks and bricks is our rent or mortgage. We work most of our adult lives to make a bank or landlord / landlady rich! With ever increasing real estate prices and stagnant wages the cost of living has skyrocketed. Many can barely make ends meet and live paycheck to paycheck. You can stop the madness by thinking outside the box and joining this growing movement of full-timers that enjoy van-dwelling or RV living. If you dream about a life of travel you can do it incredibly cheap just by downsizing your lifestyle into a RV or van tiny house and becoming mobile.

In this series, I go from a home in the Los Angeles hills packed full of stuff and owning two cars to full-timing in a Roadtrek campervan in less than 6 months. I buy an old camper van on Craigslist and deck it out just like home with all kinds of technology to make life comfortable on the road. I hope to encourage those that think they can't do it by showing how it CAN be done by planning carefully and taking baby steps.
