5 RARE Titanic facts to wow your friends! Titanic interesting info revealed!

There’s been so much written and told about Titanic over the years. Stories of how the ship sailed too fast, the numerous ice warings received and the band playing on til the very end. But it’s the little known facts about the Titanic that I find really interesting. Here are five things you might not know about Titanic.

1) A lot of the photos you’ve seen of Titanic were actually taken aboard Olympic.
2) There were dogs carried aboard Titanic.
3) Titanic wasn’t the fastest ship in the world or most revolutionary ship of her day.
4) Titanic had her own post office aboard, and
5) Titanic left on her maiden voyage almost 1 month late!

The sinking of Titanic was a very well publicised maritime disaster. Many people lost their lives and many of those that survived were haunted by the aftermath. But there were some positive outcomes as well.

There were several inquiries into the disaster, and from those inquiries new regulations and recommendations were made that influence shipping even today. Some of those things are the requirement for there to be lifejackets and lifeboats for every person carried on board a vessel.

There is also the International Ice Patrol, which monitors icebergs in the Atlantic and Arctic Oceans. Radio rooms became manned 24/7.

And the first version of the International SOLAS conventions were adopted, which specify minimum standards for construction, equipment and safety procedures of vessels.

Why Japanese Don't Like Foreigners Living in Japan

Get 10% off (save up to $44!) your own authentic Japanese snack box from Bokksu using my link: and code PAOLO10

10 Reasons Why Japanese Don't Like Foreigners Living in Japan. It’s probably fair to say that visiting Japan as a tourist compared to living and working in Japan is a very different experience. It’s no longer all about visiting cool sites and eating awesome food, Foreign residents quickly become part of the daily grind with every other Japanese person living here. And what a lot of foreigners don’t realize is there are quite a lot of unwritten rules when living in Japan in order to help keep it a pleasant society, until maybe it’s too late. The idea behind this video is to share some interesting unwritten rules I’ve personally come across to help anyone planning on living in Japan to avoid being thought of as a rude foreigner.

As always, these are general rules in Japan, nothing is absolute in this world, everyone is different and reactions from Japanese will vary on how sensitive they are to these rules. Some Japanese dislike this behavior quite a bit while some Japanese maybe okay with it. I am speaking in general terms. The point of this video is to help foreigners, who plan to live in Japan or maybe recently moved to Japan, understand what the regular Japanese culture and Japanese customs are so that they don't come off rude without knowing it. I hope this helps as a Japan guide. As always, let me know how it compares to your culture.

10 Facts you Didn't Know About Djibouti (Africa) - One Of The Smallest Countries In Africa.

10 Facts you Didn't Know About Djibouti. Djibouti is one of the smallest countries in Africa, with an area of 23,200 square kilometers and a population estimated at about 990,000. The size of its economy limits its ability to diversify production and increases its reliance on foreign markets, making it more vulnerable to market downturns and hampering its access to external capital. With less than 1,000 square kilometers of arable land (0.04% of its total land area) and average annual rainfall of only 130 millimeters, Djibouti depends almost completely on imports to meet its food needs.

Djibouti’s strength lies in its strategic location at the southern entrance to the Red Sea, marking a bridge between Africa and the Middle East. Adjacent to some of the world’s busiest shipping lanes (between Asia and Europe), it hosts military bases for France, the United States, Japan, China, and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), as well as for other countries with forces supporting global anti-piracy efforts.

Djibouti’s economy is driven by a state-of-the-art port complex, among the most sophisticated in the world. Trade through the port is expected to grow rapidly in parallel with the expanding economy of the country’s largest neighbor and main trading partner, Ethiopia. Djibouti has some natural assets that could be used for tourism, untapped marine resources that could support more artisanal fishing, and an infrastructure of undersea telecommunications cables from which it could develop new digital and service industries. Renewable energy could be another source of growth, as Djibouti has geothermal, solar, and eolian potential.

There is so much to love and learn about Africa and to help you along, we focused on 10 interesting facts about Djibouti. Surrounded by Somalia, Ethiopia and Eritrea, Djibouti is a smaller, less explored country on the coast. This East African country has a lot of little-known fun facts -we’re sharing these interesting facts about Djibouti right here. Enjoy The video.

My website is all about the Tao of David, ie the journey of David. Who's David? Me! The clue's in the name! That's right, these videos and blog posts are not just about the destination. I travelled for 1000 days non-stop and sustain myself through various means as a Digital Nomad and Online Teacher with other projects in the pipeline. If you want a real and honest travel channel detailing the realities of life on the road without doing dumb sh*t for views or exploiting viewers with fake smiles, this is the one for you!

WHY I LEFT AMERICA (and why you should too?) | American expat living abroad in the Czech Republic

Do I hate America? Do I hate FREEDOM? Why did I decide to leave the USA in the first place and start living abroad in the Czech Republic? What are the pros and cons of being an American citizen, and how do they influence my experience as an expat? I answer these questions and much more in today's video from sunny, picturesque Pula, Croatia, a popular holiday destination for my fellow Czech countrymen. I took a walk around the famous Pula Arena, to the ancient Roman Arch of the Sergii, and all around the bustling tourist center of Pula to talk about my experiences as an American-citizen-turned-expat living in the Czech Republic and spending a summer holiday (as all good Czechs do) in beautiful Croatia.
