Athens is full of street art and many of the artists are world-renowned artists. I love wandering the streets of Athens looking for them. In this video, I explore the Athens neighborhoods of Exarchia and Psyrri looking for the great street art of Athens. There are tons of well-known and very talented street artists in Athens and many of their pieces are in these two areas of Athens, Greece.

This video was filmed in the streets of Athens in 2018.
Graffiti in Athens is as old as the city itself. In ancient times graffiti was carved into buildings, in fact the word comes from the Greek graphi which means to write. During the Nazi occupation, the Civil War and the 1967 Junta political graffiti was common in Athens and served a purpose. These days it is mostly the work of frustrated kids whose signatures all over the city seem like a cry for help to a world that does not notice that they exist. But there is also a large amount of graffiti that is good art and walking around Athens looking for it is as fun a way to spend a day as any.

The new artistic phenomenon that we observe throughout the world in colloquialism is called graffiti. The beginning of this movement takes place in New York City around the 60's to 70's. After leaving boat safe in a Alimos harbour we decided to take tour into the Athens downtown. We expected gilmour, famous clothing brands store and all the usual stuff you can find in most of the europena cities centers, but Athens have to offer something completely differnet.

Puerto Rican Street Art (Drone Travel Video)
Surprisingly the street art scene in Puerto Rico is pretty good! I can tell that New York had a lot of influence on both the legal and illegal style of graffiti there.
I would have loved to capture more footage but my time was limited.
It’s especially more challenging trying to simultaneously capture photos with my sir camera (5d Mark 4), and photos and video with my drone (Mavic Air).
Flying a drone isn’t easy, but if you practice (as with anything in life) you’ll be able to work quickly and get the shots you need!
Most of the pictures here were taken in Santurce and Old San Juan.
