I have just completed an amazing 10-day road trip across Southern India and I love Indian culture! We started in Kochi, then went to Kollam, Madurai, Pondicherry, Auroville and Chennai, hitting many small villages and towns in between.

After this trip, I've now spent almost 4 months combined on the Indian subcontinent -- and I've reconfirmed my love for this country. Through all the ups and downs, this is really a special and unique place that I recommend everyone to visit at least once in their life.

Speaking of unique, I have noticed many cultural things while traveling India that are not commonly seen elsewhere around the world... So I decided to make this fun video, sharing all of my realizations about Indian culture!

Do you agree or disagree with any of my points? Please let me know your thoughts in the comments below -- I will be staying up all night reading and responding!

The Indian Head Wobble, Explained ???????? #travel #shorts #india #culture

The Indian Head Wobble Explained

What is the Indian Head Wobble? If you've ever been to India, or spoken with an Indian person, then you may have noticed that their heads move in various directions during conversation.

I am a very observant person, and I have noticed this since the first day I stepped on Indian soil years ago.

As a foreigner coming to India, it can be very confusing to understand what it means when people are bobbling their heads around, so here is a video explaining my thoughts... To be honest, I still have a hard time understanding what the head movements are saying!

If you are Indian, or if you can help better explain what it means, then please share your thoughts below in the comments!

**PLEASE NOTE** this video is not intended to be offensive to anyone. It's simply a fun video that I made about my realizations after speaking with so many Indian people. I actually love the uniqueness that it brings to their culture, and I am finding the people of India to be amongst the friendliest I've ever met!

When You Tell a Pakistani You're from India ☠️

This is what happened when I told a Pakistani in Lahore that I live in Delhi and my wife is Indian. I survived the encounter ???? #BajrangiBhaijaan2. PS. The dude was joking. It's a bit of Punjabi humour. You can watch these guys chatting with me in The Food Courts of a Pakistani Electronics Market ????

10 Wacky Things About Thai Culture

As I'm getting ready to leave my home of Bangkok tomorrow morning until August, I feel like it's necessary to make this video about Thai culture... which I've been thinking about creating for months!

Before you watch this video, please know that I love Thailand with all my heart. It's a wonderful country with incredibly warm people, the tastiest of food and a super lively culture. Deanna and I moved here last June and we have been very happy out here in just about every way possible.

BUT... that all being said... Thailand has a unique and offbeat culture that may leave you scratching your head if you come from the U.S. (or any Western country for that matter). This video explains the 10 wackiest things I find about Thai culture.

Have you ever been to Thailand? What are your favorite tings about Thai culture? Please share your thoughts below!

On my last trip to India, I visited only the North and that's what I thought all of India was like.

This trip, I did only the South and it's completely opposite from the North in every way imaginable!

The best way to think about India is like Europe. When you move from one Indian state to the next -- the culture, cuisine, language and weather all change in the same way that you'd experience by hopping European countries.

Have you ever been to India? What do you think are the biggest differences between the North and the South? Please share your thoughts below!

10 Wacky Things About TURKMENISTAN

It's been a wild several days in Turkmenistan. In my opinion, this is (by a long shot) the world's most bizarre country.

In this video, I explain the 10 strangest things that I find about Turkmen culture -- from the thousands of white-marble buildings to the shockingly empty streets, a massive fire crater in the desert that hasn't stopped burning for 50 years, and the heavy censorship of the internet.

Turkmenistan is essentially the North Korea of Central Asia. Both the capital cities of Pyongyang and Ashgabat feel eerily similar when walking around. The only major difference is that the people of North Korea are oppressed, whereas the people of Turkmenistan seem to be warm, friendly, and hospitable.

Please share any thoughts/comments/questions about Turkmenistan and I'll be happy to answer!

Cultural shocks in India for a foreigner #india #cultiralshocks #foreignersinindia

Why Do I Touch Peoples' Feet in India?

You've seen me touching a lot of peoples' feet in India. But why do I do that!?! My own parents thought that I was kissing peoples' feet!

Touching elders' feet is a sign of respect I do for my Indian parents-in-law, relatives, and other respected people.

It's me paying tribute to someone who has more wisdom and experience, and in turn, they bless me with their knowledge & strength through our relationship.

This is a very powerful sign of respect in India, and it's one thing that melted my in-law's hearts when I first met them.

Would you do the same? Tell me in the comments.

Two more things: This is part of Hindu culture (called charan sparsh), and it's not practised in Islam. Hindu women also cover their faces (called purdah or ghunghat) around strangers in our region of Rajasthan & Haryana (the new generations are stopping, though).
