1763 Monument:
THE 1763 MONUMENT PROUDLY STANDS in the Square of the Revolution in the Guyanese capital of Georgetown. Unveiled in 1976, it commemorates the Berbice Slave Rebellion of 1763, a major event in Guyana’s anti-colonial struggles.

On February 23, 1763, a slave revolt broke out in the Dutch colony of Berbice in what is now Guyana. At the time, the colony consisted of approximately 350 white colonists, 250 enslaved indigenous people, and almost 4,000 black enslaved people. Should a rebellion gain any traction, the colonial rulers would therefore find themselves in no small amount of trouble. And that’s exactly what happened.

Aruwai Resort:
The tranquility and beauty of the only island-resort in Guyana, the Aruwai White H2O Resort. Located on the magestic Mazaruni River, the Aruwai Resort offers a rich array of experiences, activities and luxurious memories that you will cherish for a lifetime. Whether its a family getaway, romantic stay or corporate event, this 5 acre masterpiece provides all the amenities and luxury that will keep you coming for more.

Ramada Georgetown Princess Hotel:
Overlooking the Demerara River, this sprawling, informal hotel and casino is 7 km from central Georgetown, and 35 km from Cheddi Jagan International Airport.

Pegasus:
Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, this relaxed hotel with a modern tower is an 11-minute walk from the Walter Roth Museum of Anthropology and 15 minutes’ walk from the Promenade Gardens.

Marriott Hotel:
Overlooking the Demerara River and the Atlantic Ocean, this polished, modern hotel is a 2-minute walk from the 19th-century Georgetown Lighthouse and 2 km from St. George's Cathedral, a
wooden Anglican church.

Giftland Mall:
The Caribbean's premiere shopping and entertainment destination!
Giftland OfficeMax was started in 1997 when Monica Beepat’s small gift shop was combined with Roy Beepat’s wholesale stationery company and merged at one location on Regent and Albert Street. It moved from there to Charlotte Street in 2000 and then to Water Street in 2003. Giftland eventually outgrew its old location and thus, the Giftland Mall idea was born.

National Park:
Guyana National Park is an urban park in Georgetown, Guyana. Despite its name of national park, it is not a natural reserve. It was built on a former golf club. There is a circular road that is popular with joggers and other city dwellers looking to exercise.

In the north of the park, there is a pond with captive manatees. There are also some in the Botanical Gardens several blocks to the south.

Bartica:
Bartica, Essequibo, is a town on the left bank of the Essequibo River in Cuyuni-Mazaruni, at the confluence of the Cuyuni and Mazaruni Rivers with the Essequibo River in Guyana. It is the regional capital of Cuyuni-Mazaruni.

Backyard Cafe:
Backyard Cafe is more than fresh, organic food it is about the Experience. Our menus are personalized to suit our customer/s on a 'Reservation Only' basis.
The Backyard Cafe is owned and operated by Delven Adams and Malini Jaikarran. Delven, who after many years of living in the US has decided to make Guyana his permanent home. His love for great food and farming has allowed him to do what he always dreamt of doing, open a restaurant that serves fresh organic foods.

Kaieteur Falls:
Kaieteur Falls is the world's largest single drop waterfall by the volume of water flowing over it. Located on the Potaro River in the Kaieteur National Park, it sits in a section of the Amazon rainforest included in the Potaro-Siparuni region of Guyana.
