Master Pickpocket Breaks Down 12 Pickpocketing Tricks In Movies | How Real Is It? | Insider
Professional pickpocket Lee Thompson looks at 12 pickpocketing scenes from popular TV shows and movies and rates them based on realism.
He looks at Birds of Prey (2020), The Take (2016), Ocean's Eleven (2001), Now You See Me (2013), Killing Eve (2018), Gangs of New York (2002), Pickpocket (1959), Pickpockets (2018), Focus (2015), The Adventures of Tintin (2011), and Sleight (2016).
Thompson is a professional pickpocket magician and a member of the Inner Magic Circle with gold-star status. He's taken part in Mugler Follies shows in Paris and toured for 18 months, performing 1,700 shows, with Cirque Du Soleil Koozå. He's performed live on ITV's Good Morning Britain and BBC's The One Show, and he was a consultant pickpocket magician for Holmes and Watson (2018). Thompson has worked with the UK police and Revenue and Customs in public-awareness campaigns about pickpocketing.

Rome - 5 Essential Travel Hacks for Visiting Rome
Heading to Rome & Looking for Some Helpful Advice on Visiting the Eternal City Roma? Well here are five tips to help travelers get more out of their visit to one of the most wonderful cities in the world, Rome, Italy.
#1. Pre-book tickets to the Coliseum, The Vatican Museums and any other sight you can as the lines in Rome are insane.
#2. Eat the local pizza. The water in Rome is famous and that helps make for an even more amazing pizza, also you don't have to share your pizza so get what ever you want on it!
#3. Pick & Choose your Roman sights. There is so much to see in Rome that you can't do it all in one trip. So pick the ones you want to see the most and focus on those as you may get burned out if you try to do too much.
#4. Bring good walking shoes as you will be seeing a lot of sights one after another and the actual tourist part of Rome is very walkable, but with cobblestones and lots of sights your feet will need the support.
#5. The Pope has his audience on Wednesday mornings so get there early for good seats.
#6. BONUS: all hotels in Rome will seem expensive so spend the money and stay closer to the historic center or in the historic center as you will save time.

When traveling there are a few things that we should always be aware of. Some things we don't even notice ourselves, like how loud our voice gets, while other things can help keep us out of unwanted situations, like being aware of our surroundings. Here are five things that travelers, vacationers and tourists should be aware of when they travel.

1. Be aware of your voice. Talking loudly draws unwanted attention to you and it is rude to the people around you.
2. Be aware of your surroundings. When tourists report getting robbed or pickpocketed a lot of times it comes down to them not realizing that they were in a bad situation or in a place they should not have been or they should have been paying attention more.
3. Be aware of where your passport and wallet are at all times. Many tourists leave out their valuable at hotels or leave them in the outside pockets of their backpacks. These are easy spots for thieves to get. So keep valuables in the right spot.
4. Be aware of the locals. The locals can help you know what to wear, where to go and what to eat. But you need to pay attention to them and they can share helpful information without even talking to you.
5. Be aware of the news. Whether it is the weather or news it is important to stay aware of what is going on it can be a very good way to avoid any problems.

Many of the major tourist spots in Europe are known hotspots for pickpockets (places like Italy and Spain have a bit of a reputation), but with a few simple practices you can lower the risk of being a victim and if they attempt to lift your stuff you can make it more difficult.
The tips can become apart of your arsenal in combating pickpockets. Be aware of your surroundings, don't fall for scams or get caught up the crowd of someone else being scammed and most importantly don't allow yours belongs to be an easy grab.
