12 Beautiful Fairytale Castles in Europe - Travel Video

Check out all the places seen in this video:

Built by kings and queens to protect and rule their realms, castles had not only to be able to withstand attack but to project their power and wealth. As such, sturdy keeps and imposing walls were erected alongside marvelous palaces, full of ornate and elaborate chambers and throne rooms.

These castles were often built at strategic and spectacular settings at the mouths of valleys, at the entrance to mountain passes, or on glittering lakeshores. Add in the weight of history, and these amazing structures set amongst breathtaking scenery make for some of the most beautiful castles in Europe.

ALBANIA - undiscovered beauty in Europe

Before we started our trip everyone asked us why do you go to Albania?
After returning home it's our mission to explain why!
In our opinion this country is still undiscovered by tourists and one of the last spots in Europe where you can experience an original life with a very warm welcome!
We traveled through Albania in October and still had 28°C and sunshine for ten days.

BERAT, ALBANIA | 6 INCREDIBLE Things To Do In & Around Berat

Berat is located 70 kilometers, or 43 miles, south of Tirana in the center of Albania. It’s known for its historic architecture combined with beautiful nature scenery. And it’s nicknamed the “town of a thousand windows” because of the Ottoman-era houses with large windows that overlook the town. So whether you’re a culture lover, history buff, or outdoor enthusiast, Berat offers something for everyone. This video highlights 6 amazing things to do in Berat, which are best undertaken in 2 to 3 days:

6. Explore the churches and remains of Berat Castle
Looming over the town, Berat Castle is an attraction you can’t miss! This fortress dates back to Roman Times, but the walls and towers that still stand today are mostly from the 1200s. Within its walls, you’ll find a vast citadel complex of stone streets, houses, and Byzantine churches mixed in with ruins from other time periods. Make sure to visit the subterranean water cistern and the 14th century Holy Trinity Church.

5. Take in the views from Berat Castle
Apart from the historical sights, the castle also offers the best panoramic views over Berat. Head to the lookout platforms to take in the river valley views. It’s a steep climb to reach Berat Castle from the lower town, but it’s absolutely worth it for the stunning views!

4. Explore the Mangalem and Gorica quarter
Below the castle sit two of the oldest and most picturesque neighborhoods in all of Berat. Mangalem and Gorica sit on either side of the Osumi River and are connected by the ancient Gorica Bridge. Both quarters are composed of narrow alleys of ancient white stone houses, timber doors, and large windows. After visiting these sections of town, you’ll understand where Berat’s nickname comes from!

☑️ Guided tour of Berat and the quarters:

3. Take a dip at the Bogove Waterfall
If you want to explore some of the natural beauty that surrounds Berat, the Bogove Waterfall is for you. It’s located 35 kilometers, or 21 miles, from town and it’s easiest to reach by car. The whole area is green and shady with deep swimming holes and cascading falls! It’s super refreshing to take a dip here during the heat of the summer, but be aware that the water is numbingly cold. It takes about 20 minutes to walk from the parking lot to the falls.

2. Raft or hike at Osumi Canyon
Not far beyond the waterfalls, you can find the Osumi Canyon. The Osumi River passes through the town of Berat and flows through the canyon, with walls reaching over 80 meters, or 262ft, in some sections! Different seasons offer different types of activities here. During the spring you can see many waterfalls from the bottom, which can be explored by raft. While during the summer, the water is lower and there are more opportunities for river hiking and swimming in the streams.

☑️ Osumi Canyon + Bogove Waterfalls tour:

1. Go wine tasting at çobo winery
The countryside around Berat is known for its production of wine. You can admire the vineyards when driving around, but you can also do a tasting at some of them if you’d like. The çobo winery is probably the most famous wine producer in all of Albania.

Dubrovnik is located in the south of Croatia and is relatively isolated from the rest of the country due to a small nook of Bosnia & Herzegovina that intersects the land connection. MOROCCO TRAVEL DOCUMENTARY | The Grand Moroccan Roadtrip

► ITINERARY + GPS TRACKS -
► SUPPORT - 'Buy us a refill of diesel' -

Follow us on our Grand Moroccan Roadtrip!
From sweeping sand dunes to desolate highways of emptiness, bustling cities, and snow-covered peaks, we explored Morocco from north to south and east to west. Driving more than 10,000 km in eight weeks, our roadtrip included many unforgettable adventures. Watch as we explore remote landscapes, climb high peaks, battle breath-taking dust-topias (double pun, yeah!), and navigate the hectic bustle of Morocco’s major cities.

Thank you:
A big THANK YOU goes to Saloua Dabhi who helped tremendously with pronouncing Moroccan names. Additionally, we’d like to thank Christina Neumann ( for her insights into correctly identifying many bird species. And, of course, a big thank you to La Sultana ( for welcoming us to both of their wonderful properties.

Real Talk:
Despite our attempt at keeping our Morocco Travel Documentary as authentic as possible, you are still watching a highlight reel. When editing, we naturally tend to choose the most exciting videos. What you don’t see are the hours spent driving through less spectacular landscapes or some of the unpleasant challenges we faced.

Did we like everything about Morocco?
Far from it. As mentioned in the video, the huge amount of trash definitely dampened our experience. Additionally, we were surprised by the sheer number of begging children. During our trip, we counted a minimum of 500 children asking us for money or sweets. While Morocco undoubtedly has to combat poverty, this behavior often seemed less dictated by need and more by opportunity. Stopping and giving is an individual choice, of course, but when we didn’t we were regularly flipped off, kicked after, or hurled insults at.
In general, though, we perceived most Moroccans as extremely friendly and helpful. The best example is the three local men who selflessly helped us to change our ruptured tire. We cannot thank them enough.

Full Disclosure:
This trip was entirely self-funded. However, we did enjoy a two-night complimentary stay at La Sultana Oualidia and a two-night complimentary stay at La Sultana Marrakech.

★ 4K Cab ride ????????St. Moritz - ????????Tirano, fresh snow, strong winds & snowdrifts [03.2020]

Welcome to the second cab ride along the world famous, heritage listed Berninanahn (Bernina railway), this time in 4K 60 frames per second quality - and during winter. If you missed the first run along this track, it is worth checking out (recorded Autumn 2019).
A special thank you to Paolo for recording this trip. His channel:

The Bernina railway sets a few records, including being the highest railway alpine crossing in Europe (2253m), the highest adhesion railway of the continent, the open air railway with the greatest height difference (1824m) and furthermore one of the steepest adhesion railways (conventional railway without cogs) worldwide, with gradients of up to 7%.

The gradients are included in the upper right corner in the same format as they appear to the driver. The arrow indicates whether the gradient is up or down, the larger number is the promille value (1/10 of 1%) and the smaller number indicates the distance of the gradient in meters. You will also see station names with their altitude, tunnel and bridge names with their length and year of construction - as well as other interesting information along the way to improve your viewing experience.

A unique aspect of Switzerland's narrow gauge mountain railways is the mixing of passenger and freight wagons in a single train, with wagons often added or removed at intermediate stops with shunting locomotives. On the Bernina line, the cargo mostly consists of wood on stake cars and derivatives of oil in tank cars. Today we
take a wagon with us from Pontresina to Poschiavo with good for a Coop supermarket.

Thanks for watching and have a great day!

Why Albania ???????? is Making Weird Buildings? | Tirana

Albania ????????a country known for so many things it’s difficult to choose.
From amazing beaches to cute Balkan-style villages and towns like Berat and Gjirokaster, the most delicious food and the cutest and most welcoming people.
This is my first time here and before I get deeper into the country, I came to visit Tirana, the capital of Albania.
Tirana is an ancient city full of culture, with thousands of coffee shops. Yeah, for some reason people REALLY like coffee here ???????? and they make some of the best coffee I’ve ever tried.

Anyhow, this video is about something that caught my attention in Tirana, and it’s the fact that everywhere you walk there are new buildings being constructed, but not just regular buildings, very cool architectural buildings.

Tirana is a seismic area so the buildings are not very high, but in contrast, they put big efforts into creating something unique. All the new buildings have special colors, shapes, and concepts ???? it’s very interesting to see a city making efforts to create a sense of uniqueness in their infrastructure.
You can see these efforts also in the walking street lights, which are uniquely shaped as a “T” for Tirana.

So far I am really loving this country ❤️????????
