TRANSCRIPT:

Hey guys, this is Samantha and welcome to another Mytanfeet video. in this video We are going to do part 1 of day trips in Guanacaste and these are going to be the best day trips from Tamarindo, Playas del Coco or any of the neighboring beaches. We have a lot to share with you so let's go.

Number one on our list is Rio Celeste, the sky blue river inside Tenorio Volcano National Park. Rio Celeste is the perfect day trip for hiking and nature lovers, as you will be trekking through the lush rainforest to see the waterfall and sky blue river. The entire trail is around 6 kilometers or 3.5 miles and is a must see in Costa Rica.

The next best day trip in Guanacaste is Diamante Eco Adventure Park. This adventure park is excellent for families as they have an animal sanctuary with daily sloth feeding presentations, a traditional house for a cultural experience of chocolate, coffee and sugar cane and one of the most exciting ziplining tours in the country. Their 1.3 kilometer oceanview zipline is a must do in Costa Rica for adrenaline junkies. They also offer an excellent lunch buffet.

Next is one of our most highly recommended day trips from Playas del Coco or Tamarindo, Palo Verde National Park. The Palo Verde day trip consists of a safari boat tour down the Tempisque River to see wildlife such as iguanas, bats, monkeys, crocodiles and river birds. It doesn't require any strenuous activity so Palo Verde is the perfect day trip in Guanacaste for those who are visiting with seniors or young kids as you will be riding a covered motorized riverboat and it takes about half a day so you can be back at your hotel by mid afternoon. Palo Verde offers a highly interesting and educational wildlife watching experience for all visitors.

The next day trip in Guanacaste is for the surfers, a surf trip to Witch's Rock. There are a ton of surfing beaches in Guanacaste including Tamarindo but for those looking for the ultimate surf experience, a Witch's Rock surf trip is a must. You'll boat about an hour from Playas del Coco to the iconic surf spot inside Santa Rosa National Park and on heavy days with a swell, waves can get up to 6 feet or more, ideal for those dreaming of getting barrelled in Costa Rica. On normal days, waves are absolutely perfect for longboarding and shortboarding, with long, open and glassy A-frame waves.

The last day trip in this video is the La Leona waterfall hike. This waterfall hike is only 30 minutes from Liberia and you'll be hiking in the tropical dry forest, swimming in a beautiful blue river and climbing through caves and canyons to get to a hidden cave waterfall. The La Leona waterfall hike is definitely for those looking for a memorable outdoor activity and after the fun hike, you can relax in their natural blue river pools.

I hope you guys enjoyed the video and if you're interested in any of these activities, we have links to our posts in the description below for more details and you can contact us if you want to book any of these tours. Thanks for watching and we'll see you in the next one.

Nicaragua Travel Guide - An Adventure To Remember

Nicaragua Travel Guide - An Adventure To Remember

Nicaragua is a country in Central America. It has coastlines on both the Caribbean Sea, in the east, and the North Pacific Ocean, in the west, and has Costa Rica to the southeast and Honduras to the northwest. Nicaragua contains the largest freshwater body in Central America, Lago de Nicaragua (Lake Nicaragua) or Cocibolca. The capital city of Nicaragua is Managua.

Hot climate in the lowlands, cooler in highlands, with occasional rainbow features. The weather during the dry months (November-April) can be very hot in the Pacific lowlands. Torrential downpours in the rainy season (May-October) can leave you soaked and chilly.

Tourists can visit varied areas across the country: the majestic colonial cities of Granada and Leon, the island of Ometepe and the Mombacho volcano for hiking and nature exploration , the mountainous coffee farm region of Jinotega and Matagalpa, the dazzling surf beaches of the Pacific Coast, and in the the isolated and mostly undiscovered Caribbean coast and the Corn Islands (Big Corn Island and Little Corn Island) which lie close offshore. The Rio San Juan area...the largest rain forest north of the Amazon...... is a rapidly expanding eco tourist destination, Its biodiversity is a magnet for nature loving tourists. Reserva Silvestre Privada Montecristo at Boca de Sabalos is an important bird area and a wildlife refuge along with the Indio-Maiz national reserve. Additionally Rio San Juan is a great place for sport fishing with world class and record breaking Tarpon fishing. Estelí is home to two popular nature reserves, Miraflor and Tisey, as well as being the center for Cigar production. MAP OF NICARAGUA

hello hello friends, this is a map of beautiful Nicaragua. it occupies a landmass of 130,967 km2 , which makes it slightly larger than England. Nicaragua has three distinct geographical regions: the Pacific lowlands – fertile valleys which the Spanish colonists settled, the Amerrisque Mountains, and the Mosquito Coast.

The low plains of the Atlantic Coast are 97 km wide in areas. They have long been exploited for their natural resources.

On the Pacific side of Nicaragua are the two largest fresh water lakes in Central America—Lake Managua and Lake Nicaragua. Surrounding these lakes and extending to their northwest along the rift valley of the Gulf of Fonseca are fertile lowland plains, with soil highly enriched by ash from nearby volcanoes of the central highlands. Nicaragua's abundance of biologically significant and unique ecosystems contribute to Mesoamerica's designation as a biodiversity hotspot. if you made it until the end of the video you will probably be the first ever, hahahaha, dont laugh, if you laugh you must subscribe. Nicaragua, la República de Nicaragua Nicaragua, the Republic of Nicaragua (Spanish: República de Nicaragua , is the largest country in the Central American isthmus, bordered by Honduras to the northwest, the Caribbean to the east, Costa Rica to the south, and the Pacific Ocean to the southwest. Managua is the country's capital and largest city and is also the third-largest city in Central America, behind Tegucigalpa and Guatemala City. The multi-ethnic population of six million includes people of indigenous, European, African, and Asian heritage. The main language is Spanish.Indigenous tribes on the Mosquito Coast speak their own languages and English.

Originally inhabited by various indigenous cultures since ancient times, the region was conquered by the Spanish Empire in the 16th century. Nicaragua gained independence from Spain in 1821. The Mosquito Coast followed a different historical path, being colonized by the English in the 17th century and later coming under British rule. It became an autonomous territory of Nicaragua in 1860 and its northernmost part was transferred to Honduras in 1960. Since its independence, Nicaragua has undergone periods of political unrest, dictatorship, occupation and fiscal crisis, including the Nicaraguan Revolution of the 1960s and 1970s and the Against War of the 1980s.

The mixture of cultural traditions has generated substantial diversity in folklore, cuisine, music, and literature, particularly the latter, given the literary contributions of Nicaraguan poets and writers such as Rubén Darío. Known as the land of lakes and volcanoes, Nicaragua is also home to the Bosawás Biosphere Reserve, the second-largest rainforest of the Americas. The biological diversity, warm tropical climate and active volcanoes make Nicaragua an increasingly popular tourist destination. Nicaragua is a founding member of the United Nations, Non-Aligned Movement, Organization of American States, ALBA and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States. Nicaragua is a unitary republic. For administrative purposes it is divided into 15 departments (departamentos) and two self-governing regions (autonomous communities) based on the Spanish model. The departments are then subdivided into 153 municipios (municipalities). The two autonomous regions are the North Caribbean Coast Autonomous Region and South Caribbean Coast Autonomous Region, often referred to as RACCN and RACCS, respectively.[155]

Nicaragua 2022

Here is a glimpse of our short stay in lovely Nicaragua!

We spent most of our time in the luxurious Guacalito de la Isla to visit family. We also spent a weekend together in Granada where we got to hike an active volcano! Everyday we enjoyed waking up to the tunes of the tropical birds and saying goodnight to our howler monkey neighbours. Each evening the skies would be filled with the most gorgeous sunsets and incredible hues!

Mitos y Leyendas recorren Ocotal con mucha algarabía

The Low-Key Beach Community of Playa Ocotal, Costa Rica

Just 10 minutes’ drive south from the popular tourist destination and expat hotspot of Playas del Coco, is an escape. Playa Ocotal is one of the prettiest beaches on Costa Rica’s northern Pacific coast. It’s a little out-of-the-way but definitely worth the journey to get there.

Its off-the-beaten-path location keeps it quiet and uncrowded, as does the lack of places to park. It’s a small cove with high rocky cliffs on each side, with boats anchored offshore bobbing in the swell. There are sport fishing vessels run for tourists—offshore you find swordfish, mahi mahi (known locally as dorado), tuna, and other “game” fish—as well as traditional open boats, called pangas, still operated by local fisherman who head out early each morning and supply many of the local restaurants. You can also hire a boat for scuba trips to offshore reefs that are home to dozens of species of tropical fish, manta rays, sea turtles, and more.

La Playa Ocotal

In January 2014, I traveled to the western coast of Nicaragua with my girlfriend's family. We stayed at Morgan's Rock, a small resort located on the edge of jungle and the ocean. This is La Playa Ocotal.
