Visitors making their first trip to China usually stick to the larger cities. More experienced visitors to the Middle Kingdom will strike out in other directions, where traveling may be a bit more frustrating because of the language barrier, but most definitely doable for independent travelers. Baoding is a city with a history dating back to the Western Han Dynasty. It was destroyed by the Mongols in the 13th century, but after the Mongols established the Yuan Dynasty, it was rebuilt. It acquired the name Baoding during the Yuan dynasty — the name is roughly interpreted as protecting the capital, referring to the city's proximity to Beijing. Baoding served for many years as the capital of Zhili, and was a significant centre of culture in the Ming Dynasty and early Qing Dynasty. During the Boxer rebellion, Boxer rebels killed a Turk, two Swiss, and an Italian in Baoding.
On August 1, 1949, the people's Government of Hebei province was established, Baoding was the capital of the province, and the city of Baoding was a provincial municipality. On August 9, the administrative inspector's office of the Baoding district was established, and it was established as the administrative inspector's office of the county district.
In May 1958, the capital of Hebei was moved to Tianjin.
In January 1966, the provincial capital was moved from Tianjin to Baoding.
In February 1968, the provincial capital moved to Shijiazhuang.
In December 1994, the Baoding area merged with Baoding to become a provincial city.
In April 2017, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council announced the decision to transform Baoding's Xiong, Rongcheng, and Anxin counties into Xiong'an New Area, a new development area of national significance, with a focus on innovation, sustainability, and quality of life, following the success of Shenzhen Special Economic Zone and Shanghai's Pudong New Area.

Most people go to Chongqing to play, basically in the main urban area, and they can finish the tour in 3 days.
In the traditional sense, Chongqing can be divided into several districts: Jiangbei District with an airport to the north, Shapingba District at Ciqikou to the west, Nanan District with a tree and Yangren Street to the east, and a graffiti to the south. In the Jiulongpo district of the street, in the middle is the Yuzhong district where many scenic spots, hot pots and small noodles gather.
The scenic spots are mainly distributed in Yuzhong District, Shapingba District, Nan'an District and Jiulongpo District, and they are generally visited nearby. Wulong and Dazu Rock Carvings have been very popular in recent years. The drive takes more than 2 hours. If you have more time, it is recommended to play.

Dazu Rock Carvings - UNESCO World Heritage Site
The Dazu Rock Carvings is an incredible and impressive UNESCO World Heritage Site. With various locations around Chongqing Municipality in central China, we focused on the largest and most impressive group of carvings at Baodingshan. Here, there's an incredible series of Buddhist carvings, 8-10 metres high and 10-15 metres wide, all dating back to the 11th and 12th centuries. It's a seriously impressive place, so let's check it out!

First, we started by tasting the world famous cantonese roast goose, baked in a charcoal oven and covered in amazing goose drippings sauce, an amazing Chinese street food you must try!
Then, we went to try another famous Chinese street food, the Shuangpinai double skinned milk, served to you in the alleyways and street markets of Guangdong. It was sweet, and almost like an egg pudding.
Then we went to have another specialty Chinese street food, the guilinggao bitter jelly pudding, and a douhua silken tofu dish, on our way to a huge Chinese feast.
For our final meal, we visited a famous Shunde restaurant and got into the back kitchen to see the chefs preparing their world famous cantonese recipes. We ordered some extreme Chinese street food dishes, like Chinese sashimi, a grass carp which was cut open and served to us within minutes, a steamed snake and snake eggs, fried cicadas, and a lot more, so make sure to watch the whole video to discover along with us a ton of amazing Chinese street foods!

A couple of weeks back, we visited China with university to visit HBU-Uclan: a campus in Bao Ding, China, partnered with ours in Preston. This involved taking part in an assignment where we aimed to create a game, we also travelled to Beijing to do some sight seeing.
