Unbelievable Places That Really Exist

From the unreal Yoro Park in Japan to the Bergpark Wilhelmshohe in Germany, here are Unbelievable Places That Really Exist.

Learn about the BIGGEST of everything Monday, Wednesday, and Friday just subscribe!

# 8 Yoro Park
The town of Yoro located in the Gifu prefecture of Japan is relatively small and unremarkable with a population of just 33,000. However, many people are attracted to this place because of the Yoro Park Site of Reversible Destiny. It is a strange “theme park” that doesn’t have the roller coasters or rides that most theme parks offer. Instead, it boasts surreal landscaping, perfectly round domes covered in grass, and architecture that will make you scratch your head. It was originally designed to incorporate the 100 waterfalls in the area into a unified place.

# 7 Beppu, Japan
The Japanese island of Kyushu is home to many things, but is also known to be a very active hotbed of geothermal activity. Hot springs have bubbled up over the city of Beppu and are so hot they create huge steam clouds that rise above the rooftops, making it look like the entire city is on fire. These springs are colored a deep blue or deep orange but are too hot to bathe in, ranging in temperature from 50 to 99.5 degrees Celsius. This hot water is piped through the city to be used in homes, restaurants, and even in places where it is cooled down enough to help with physical therapy.

# 6 Village of Monsanto
Voted the most Portuguese village in Portugal and built to be intertwined with the landscape is the village of Monsanto. Looking at pictures might be shocking because it looks as if the village was crushed by a landslide. The village was built between, underneath, and around these boulders which have been there for as long as the village has. Monsanto was built in the 12th century and sits on top of a mountain, giving a spectacular view of the Italian countryside.

# 5 Marble Caves of Chile Chico
This stark rock shape is located in a peninsula bordering Lake General Carrera along the Chile-Argentina border. It’s one of the marble caves of Chile Chico, a giant outcropping of solid marble that has been slowly carved by water pushing up against it. The marble caves are very far removed from any established paved roads and require a 30 minute guided boat ride to get to. The parts that have been polished by the water reveal a beautiful pearly, swirling pattern hidden inside the rock.

# 4 The Natural Bridge
Most bridges are man-made marvels, but this one was made completely by Mother Nature. It was carved by Cedar Creek which flowed through it over the course of thousands of years. It’s a 65 meter high bridge that is sacred to the Monacan tribe and was later surveyed by American colonists. One of these colonists was George Washington who allegedly carved his initials into the rock.

# 3 The Blue Forest
The Hallerbos, or Blue Forest, is a dream-like forest in Belgium. Most times of the year it’s beautiful, but unremarkable as far as forests go. However, every spring, the forest takes on a whole new quality that makes it seem straight out of a dream. The forest floor blooms with blue bell flowers, completely saturating the place with the densest meadow of bluebells in all of Europe.

# 2 Atlantic Ocean Road
We’ve all heard of taking the “scenic route”, but the Atlantic Ocean Road takes that to the next level. This winding road curves over and around the brutal Norwegian Sea. The road connects several tiny islands together to unify the country, and to do this it crosses the beautiful scenery of the Norwegian coasts. Despite several arched bridges and elevated roads, the water will still occasionally crash over the road during storms. If you are lucky and brave enough to cross this road, you will be rewarded with some of the most breathtaking views in the world.

# 1 Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe
This image has been circulating on the internet for at least four years now and is frequently captioned as being somewhere near Poland or Germany. While this actual image is just a photo mockup, there is a similar waterfall castle that actually exists in Kassel Germany. The Bergpark Wilhelmshohe is an old water park that was first built in 1696. It’s equipped to handle 92,000 gallons that flow through the three-century-old pneumatic devices. The water most notable flows down a 350-meter long cascade/slide that makes it look like a castle sitting directly on top of a water park. You can still visit the Bergpark Wilhelmshohe despite its age as it was designated a UNESCO world heritage spot in 2013.

Trogir (Croatia) Vacation Travel Video Guide

Travel video about destination Trogir in Croatia.
The picturesque old town of Trogir in Croatia is situated on a small island which is connected to the mainland by a bridge and protected by walls and a fortress. In 380 B.C. Greeks from Issa settled there and founded the fortified city of Tragyrion. It was only under Croatian rule that the island fortress regained its former importance when, in 1107, it became a diocesan city and received municipal rights by King Koloman. At the south-western end of the island is the imposing Kamerlengo Fortress, former residence of the Venetian governor and his militia. High walls connect various towers from which there is a good view of the sea. Church steeples rise above the rooftops.as though to highlight the importance of religion during Venetian rule. Several coastal towns entered into agreements with Venice whose mighty fleet offered protection against pirate raids. In 1997 the entire old town was designated as a World Cultural Heritage Site, a closely packed-together collection of residential buildings, churches, narrow streets and courtyards.Repeated hostilities of the Ottomans finally ended the heyday of this fine city but its former splendour has been well preserved and Trogir now serves as a priceless glance back into the Middle Ages.

Santiago Vacation Travel Guide | Expedia

Santiago de Chile, a city of extremes, is surrounded by the world’s longest mountain range, driest desert, largest ocean and southernmost grassy plains. The cosmopolitan South American capital has the perfect mix of both historic and ultra-modern attractions.

The lively Plaza de Armas houses the divine Metropolitan Cathedral and the National History Museum. Santa Lucía Hill is the place where the city was founded by the Spanish in the 16th-century and the Chilean Museum of pre-Colombian Art shows what life was like here before colonial rule.

La Moneda Palace is the seat of government and the place of Augusto Pinochet’s 1973 military coup. The Museum of Memory and Human Rights documents the dictator’s repressive regime.

Santiago has many city parks. Parque Bicentenario is in Vitacura, while the sculptures of Parque de las Esculturas are in Providencia. Centrally located Parque Forestal, houses the Museum of Contemporary Art. Nearby is Centro Cultural Estación Mapocho, in a former train station.

Find colorful street art, craft shops and sidewalk cafés in Bellavista. From this neighborhood, you can access Cerro San Cristóbal to look back at Santiago one more time before exploring Chile’s many natural treasures.

Switzerland is a small country that sits smack dab in the middle of the Alps, making for 360-degree scenery wherever a person finds themselves. Numerous lakes also add to the picture postcard look of this country, whose most famous citizen may have been the fictional Heidi. From banks to bucolic alpine meadows, Switzerland has it all. An overview of the best places to visit in Switzerland:

backpacking through South America - GoPro (Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina and Brazil)

Between November 2016 and January 2017, my friend Nadia and I travelled to South America. Besides the booked flights and the mainstream attractions on our minds, the traveling turned out to be spontaneous. For instance in La Paz, we met a young german couple and decided to continue our adventure as a group for the following month.
After all our journey to South America and the memories we made will remain unforgotten.

Lithuania (Europe) Vacation Travel Video Guide

Travel video about destination Lithuania in Europe.
Lithuania is situated on the Baltic Sea and has a long history, fortified castles and splendid palaces, a country that has many religious buildings and where religious faith has become an art form. Vilnius, the capital, is a city of Baroque mixed with Gothic, Renaissance and Classicism, a melting pot of culture. Its main landmark is Castle Hill with its red-coloured Gediminas Tower that marks the beginning of the city's history. The Boulevard begins in Cathedral Square where, adjoining the cathedral, is a fine white bell tower. The Cathedral’s interior still radiates a Gothic sense of space. The local people are particularly proud of the cathedral’s copy of the Turin Shroud. In the Middle Ages when the Grand Dukes ruled, the ancient capital of Trakei was the political centre of Lithuania’s power. The later built Water Castle is the real landmark of Lithuanian history. Grand Duke Vytautas had the castle extended and from it ruled a vast empire which, for a short time, stretched from the Baltic to the Black Sea. Around forty kilometres northwest of Vilnius lies the archaeological site of Kernave, Lithuania’s ‘Troy’. The exhibits date from the tenth century B.C. until the Early Middle Ages. During the first centuries A.C., large settlements were established in the Pajauta Valley, which were protected by the Castle Mountains. On the edge of the Zemait Highland in the north lies Şiauliai, Lithuania’s fourth largest city, much of which had to be rebuilt after the Second World War and that since the sixteenth century had been an important market and trading city. Sundial Square is the city’s main landmark with its impressive sundial that was created for the city’s seven hundred and fiftieth jubilee in 1986. Full of European history, Lithuania has become a modern day country with magnificent castles, ancient towns, nature and culture and is a destination that is bound to please!

The Blue City, Chefchaouen: Best City In Morocco?

Chefchaouen Morocco is often called the blue city or the blue pearl. A popular tourist destination in Morocco, I think it may be our favorite city. With a winding old medina, a centuries old casba and it's signature blue paint everywhere, the city will draw you in with it's beauty. Chefchaouen is in the mountains and thus has a beautiful view with only a short hike. Plus, there is a waterfall hike nearby (Cascades d'Akchour).

Stay at this AirBnB in Chefchaouen Morocco

Travel Guide to Argentina

Argentina is one of the jewels in the Latin American crown. A vast country stretching 3,500 kilometres from the Bolivian border in the north to Ushuaia and the gateway to Antarctica in the south, it is a place that offers some of the most impressive natural wonders anywhere on earth. It has a world-class tourist infrastructure, with arguably the best cuisine on the continent, and it is safe. But its not just that that makes a trip to Argentina feel so special. The country simply has a redoubtable spirit unlike any other in the region, and nowhere is that more evident than in its lively capital, Buenos Aires.

If Argentina is one of the jewels in the Latin American crown, so the cosmopolitan Buenos Aires is one of the standout cities of the continent. Many gateway cities are just that, and you’re best off getting in and getting out, but not the Argentine capital; this is a destination in its own right that ideally requires at least 3 days to truly explore. A place where the elegance of old Europe crashes against the colourful coast of Latin America, Buenos Aires is a beautiful city, with elegant and impressive architecture, relaxing parks and some great sites. Must see locations include the colourful Bocca district, famous for its brightly painted homes, San Telmo, renowned for its antique market and strange curiosity shops, Palermo, home to some of the city’s most stylish restaurants, hotel and bars, and the smart district of Recoleta, most well-known for its famous cemetery, the final resting place of among others Argentina’s most famous daughter, Eva Peron.

From here heading north the first place you’ll be tempted to visit is one of the country’s many natural wonders… the famous Iguazu Falls.

From here, working our way anti clockwise around the country you’ll come to Corrientes and the Iberia wetlands. Although not commonly visited by international travellers, we at Wild Frontiers love this place and run many trips to the atmospheric estancias where we have fun playing at being gauchos.

From here you come to Cordoba, the country’s second largest city. This is a region known for the pretty Andean foothills into which you can ride or walk.

Next up is the famous wine region of Mendoza. Anyone interested in gastronomy trips should spend at least 3 days here, where, staying at one of the locally-run boutique wineries you can enjoy some world class dining. But Mendoza isn’t only about cuisine… it is also the gateway to hikes up the America’s highest mountain, Aconcagua, and some good horse rides into the low Andes.

Heading north of here is the spectacular coloured mountain desert region of Salta, and the northern routes into Chile and the Atacama Desert, or heading further east you’ll next come to San Martin de los Andes, where you’ll find some wonderful mountain scenery with a few great estancias again offering some great riding, and fishing, experiences this time into the higher Andes.

Now heading south, the next location you’ll come to is one of the countries major highlights, the lake district of Bariloche. Here you can enjoy all manner of activities, from riding and cycling, to kayaking and abseiling, or just relaxing with a nice picnic on one of the regions many lakes.

Heading south on highway 40, passed the fossilised remains of the world’s largest dinosaur, and the famous painted hands at Cueva de las Manos, you come to FitzRoy National Park before hitting one of the most impressive areas on the continent, El Calafate, and the regions wide open steppes and famous glaciers that here crash down into the lakes. There are many such glaciers but perhaps the most famous is the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Puerto Moreno glacier.

To the east of the country is Puerto Valdez, from which between October to March the Orca whales can be spotted, and in the very south is Ushuaia, and the gateway to Antarctica. At Wild Frontiers we have relationships with some of the best Antarctic explorer vessels.

Argentina is a huge country and unless you are lucky enough to have a month to travel you are unlikely to see it all in one visit. The important thing is to work out what you’d like to see most, and then let us help you work out the best way to do it.

Although Argentina may not have the level indigenous cultural traditions that Bolivia and Peru enjoy; although it might not have the beaches, colour and sheer razzmatazz that Brazil can boast, Argentina does have a plethora of sites and experiences with which to seduce the visitor. With its dramatic Patagonian steppes, its extraordinary glaciers, its colourful mountains and deserts, its lakes and its coast, Argentina’s landscapes are second to none. Its wildlife is impressive and varied, its cuisine is world class and in its cultured, cosmopolitan capital city, it has one of the most fun metropolises anywhere on the planet.

10 Best Places to Visit in Hungary.
While Hungary is famous for its goulash and paprika (which, by the way, originated in the New World), it’s known for much more than that, including world-class fine wines and its pear liqueur, an orange-colored sweet dessert treat, sometimes known as palinka.
Visitors to Hungary quickly learn it is a land of many cultures, having been ruled over by the Romans, Ottomans, Mongols, Magyars, Czechs and the Soviets. Remains of Roman fortifications can be found as can utterly spectacular buildings dating back to the Middle Ages. Hungary also is the land of the beautiful blue Danube River; no trip here would be complete without a boat ride on it. An overview of the best places to visit in Hungary:

9. Hortobagy National Park
8. Debrecen
7. Heviz
6. Aggtelek National Park
