Since I haven't been back to the parks since 2019, it got me thinking on just how expensive it has actually become. So, i'm going to find out! The Rise & Fall of Animatronics: The Great Texas Longhorn Revue at Six Flags AstroWorld. Audio-animatronics have become a staple element of storytelling in theme parks. The Great Texas Longhorn Revue was an animatronic show that ran at Six Flags AstroWorld from 1982 until 1999 and it just happened to be heavily inspired by Disney's Country Bear Jamboree. Audio-Animatronic shows began at the Disney Theme Parks and the precedent was set with the Country Bear Jamboree.
