This vlog shows what traveling in Russian national parks is like. I went to see Inzersky Ridge (Инзерские Зубчатки) in the Republic of Bashkortostan, Russia. First, we spent the night in a tiny village and then went to our destination by a Soviet (almost) military truck. Enjoy this off-road adventure!

Country Market in the middle of Russia
We started the day by collecting pure water from the nearby well (or spring). The water in the pipes is undrinkable, I was told. So twice a week my future-wife and many other people walk for kilometres to the well. Here they wait patiently, in the rain or in the freezing cold. Difficult life, I thought. At lunchtime, we walked to the market in Zlatoust. I took my camera, may be there was something interesting to film. Once I saw these poor conditions, I thought Westerners should see this. It felt for me that I was thrown into a post-nuclear wartime, where all is made up out of leftovers. Stands of fruits, clothes, and meats adjoining each other and life goes on like normal. Was I really in a country where they have nuclear weapons, cosmonauts and high standing scientific research? Hmm..Russia is certainly a land of big contrasts. Златоуст расположен в суровой Челябинской области, на границе Европы и Азии! Это то место, где можно одновременно побывать в двух частях света.
Это мой город! За что я его люблю? Наверно каждый любит свой город за то, что в нем родился и вырос.
Златоуст – родина русского булата и уникальной гравюры на стали, первых стальных пушек и первых ракет морского базирования, город качественной металлургии, важная составляющая военно-промышленного комплекса России – и это далеко не полный перечень «титулов» города! Все это наше достояние, наша гордость.
Но все это не для меня.
Я люблю свой город за его красоту, за его разнообразную природу: национальные парки, горы, реки...
Для кого то сходить в горы это целое путешествие, к которому надо готовиться, для меня это прогулка, я прихожу сюда просто подумать. Подумать о будущем, подумать о том, что уже позади,
Я останавливаюсь и время останавливается вместе со мной. Делаю глоток, глоток свободы, и продолжаю двигаться дальше.
В нем не заработаешь много денег, не станешь знаменитым актером, артистом, но зато в нем есть то, чего нет в столице и других крупных городах мира - огромное желание вырваться отсюда и устремится вверх!

Taganay
Taganay (Russian: Таганай) is a group of mountain ridges in the Southern Urals, on the territory of Chelyabinsk Oblast, with the highest point rising 1178 m. above sea level. Taganay National Park was established in 1991, with its south-western border reaching down to the outskirts of Zlatoust. Total area of the park is about 568 square kilometres (219 sq mi), with the distance of 52 km (32 mi) from north to south and width of about 10–15 km (6.2–9.3 mi).
