In mid-January, Peter finally fell asleep with snow, and we were able to show the most beautiful Northern city in the world, wrapped in snow, from the air, in ultra-high resolution 6K. For filming, we used a new Ambassador camera Zenmuse X7 together with a new line of lenses DL, which a month ago we sent DJI for our further creativity. Since youtube does not support 6K resolution, we have increased the image to 8K, in order to unlock the full potential of the image.

Life in the Coldest place on earth, the region of Yakutia (Republic of Sakha), Siberia, Russia, & the Worlds coldest city, Yakutsk. We traveled to Yakutsk in the middle of winter to find out how people here survive in the toughest climate in the world. Little did we know, we would manage to time it so perfect that we would actually arrive during the coldest day in the last 20 years (-63'C / '81.5'F).
The lowest air temperature ever recorded in this region is -96°F (-71°C). The coldest town is Oymyakon, which is also in Yakutia, Siberia.
Life up here in the coldest city and region on planet earth is tough, and winter is long, however, people have lived here for centuries. The Yakut (Sakha) people have called this region home for generations and their unique culture & attitude to life has helped them thrive here in cold tundra of Yakutia, Siberia.

【4K】Snowstorm in Moscow & Christmas Markets | Winter in Moscow, Russia ????????
Despite concerns about coronavirus, the Moscow city government decided to celebrate Christmas and the New Year with its annual festival.
Called The Journey to Christmas, the festival began this past weekend and will go until Jan. 9. Russia celebrates Christmas according to the old calendar on Jan. 7.
This year most of the activities are outdoors. There will be fairs in 27 venues around the city, 18 free ice skating rinks - out of a total of almost 1,500 rinks in the city - and a forest of decorated trees with an average height of eight meters.
In the city center, festivities are concentrated from Pushkin Square, along Tverskaya Ulitsa to Manege Square, Ploshchad Revolyutsii and the square before the Bolshoi Theater, with Kuznetsky Most the place where decorators and their trees show off their beauty.

These remote villages are located in the Tashtagol region.
There are Shors live. This is the indigenous people of Russia. There are very few of them left and these people are threatened with complete extinction. In total, there are 13,000 Shors left on Earth. And most of them live on the territory of Mountain Shoria. Kemerovo region of Russia.
Not far from Ust Anzas there are such villages as: Ust Azas, Za-Mrasu, (up the river Mrasu); Far Kezek, Near Kezek, Cheley and the village of Parushka (down the Mrasu River). There are no roads to these villages, so many of them are already abandoned.
For a long time, taiga people lived without electricity, gas, communications and roads. And only in 2019, the authorities provided every house with solar panels. Now the locals have refrigerators and TVs in their homes. But still there is no cellular communication and the Internet. There is no school. In September, children are sent to a boarding school in Tashtagol. And they come to their parents only for the holidays. It was such a time that we found them in this amazing village.
Mountain Shoria (Shorsk. Taglyg Shor) is a mountain-taiga region located in the southern part of the Kemerovo region at the junction of Altai, Sayan and Kuznetsk Alatau. The region can conditionally be attributed to the Altai mountain system.
Mountain Shoria got its name from the indigenous people - the Shors.
We are interested in learning how our ancestors lived, to study their traditions and to master ancient crafts and meals.

I spent the entire winter of 2022 in Russia. And this series of videos will be my magnum opus on everything I've experienced: good, bad and whatever lies between. I did not start my journey in St. Petersburg, but while I was filming still in Moscow and neighboring villages and cities I was eager to share what I saw and experienced with all of you.
This is the unabridged Saint Petersburg, Russia that I saw in its entirety. “Zimnik” – the winter road, only operates during the coldest months of the year, because it is a road of perpetual ice and frost. The word “zimnik“ originates from the Russian word “zima“ meaning “winter“.
Evenkiysky District in the Krasnoyarsk Territory lies along the polar circle in Russia, Siberia. Area takes 767,660 km2 (~1.5 France). It is one of the sparsest inhabited land surfaces of the planet. The majority of the region’s fuel supply reaches the region by the “zimnik“, which vanishes in the summer months.
