Trains in Latvia are operated by Pasažieru Vilciens. The main hub is the capital Riga. All trains in Latvia are regional and for most trains it's not possible to make reservations.
Average travel time from Riga to other Latvian cities:
Riga - Liepaja 3h 18mins (only on Fridays and Saturdays)
Riga - Daugavpils 3h 20mins
Riga - Valga 2h 40mins

It is 2020 beginning and guess what, go to Russia with car does not cost fortune, it is almost free, since you dont have to spend a lot of money just for applying for visa! If you are lucky and you come from one of the countries in list on Russian embassy site, you can apply for electronica visa for no extra charge and go to beautiful Saint Petersburg with a car or some other parts of Russia without a big hassle!
On this video I am sharing my experience how to cross Narva (Estonia) Ivangorod (Russia) border with a car! As well I am sharing quite a lot of tips, which may save you a lot of time and effort! :)

Riga railway station / Latvian Railway / Riga Central Station / Latvian trains
Riga Central Station (Latvian: Rīgas Centrālā stacijа) is the main railway station in Riga, Latvia. Part of the building is a shopping centre.
Three rail mainlines depart the station to the east:
Riga–Skulte
Riga–Lugaži, through to the Estonian border crossing at Valka.
Riga-Krustpils, which then splits into lines to Daugavpils and Zilupe.
Riga–Jelgava, including lines through to Liepāja.
Riga–Tukums, including trains through to Ventspils.
The first railway station in Riga was constructed to serve as the western terminal station of the new railway line from Riga to Daugavpils.
Construction of the station started in 1858.
The station opened on 12 October 1861 along with the railway line, which connected Riga with Daugavpils and the Saint Petersburg–Warsaw railway line.
In 1889, a Neo-Byzantine style chapel was also built in front of the railway station to commemorate the miraculous survival of Emperor Alexander III and his family at the Borki train disaster in 1888.
Two separate stations were in operation in 19th century — one serving the line to Daugavpils and the other towards Jūrmala. They were joined and reconstructed in 1914 and functioned until the 1960s. In 1960 the current station building was opened and in 1965 — a second one.
There are many stops at this location. The main stop is the railway station, Riga Central Station, which operates all passenger trains within Latvia. Most public transport stops are situated in the nearby streets — Marijas iela, Merķeļa iela, Satekles iela and 13. janvāra iela. Buses and trolleybuses stop here.

Der Grenzübergang bei Ainazi hier im Video ist ein kleiner Grenzübergang an der 331, der durch den Ort Ainazi führt. Die Ostsee ist nur wenige Meter entfernt. Der größere Grenzübergang an der A1 / E67, einer autobahnähnlichen Fernstraße von Riga bis Ainazi in Lettland und dann auf estnischer Seite weiter bis Tallinn, befindet sich wenige Kilometer weiter östlich.

On February 26th to 28th (2023) Estonia saw a rare northern lights show! This timelapse is captured on an island Hiiumaa on Säärenina beach, Tubala windmill and Määvli bog!

Timelapse is put together from single fails in Photoshop, images previously edited in lightroom. Then all different timelapses are put together and edited in Premiere pro.
