Exploring Zaki Biam: The Largest Yam Market in West Africa

How about buying a tuber of yam with just #70 (about 0.2 usd)? Yeah! This is only possible here at Zaki Biam Yam Market. The experiencing naija team brings to you the largest yam market in Africa called the Zaki-biam yam market in Ukum local government area of Benue state, Nigeria. Nigeria is by far the world’s largest producer of yams, accounting for over 70 –76 percent of the world production. The Zaki Biam market, believed to be the largest yam market in Nigeria and perhaps Africa, accounts for 70 per cent of yam cultivated in Nigeria and buyers from other African countries patronize the market. This is due to the ridiculous prices at which you can purchase yams in bulk. The storage facility located at Zaki Biam is reported to have the capacity to store up 200,000 tubers of yam. Either from yam farming to yam business, Benue State is a great location that will definitely increase your chances.

Brief Overview of TIV Tribe and the Colonies | Benue State, Nigeria

Tiv language is a branch of Benue–Congo and ultimately of the Niger–Congo phylum.
Tiv kingdom Ancestry is traced to an ancient individual named Tiv, who had two sons; ( Ichongo an Ipusu ). Tiv people consider themselves as a member of either Ichongo (descendants of Chongo) or of Ipusu (descendants of son Pusu).
Ichongo and Ipusu are each divided into several major branches called ''ipaven''.
Tiv people depend on agricultural produce for commerce and livelihood.
Members of the Tiv kingdom are found in many places across the globe, including the United States and United Kingdom.

PS
The opinion regarding the list of TIV sons and daughters who have contributed prominently in the modern civilization and and well-being of TIV kingdom and Nigeria at large listed in this video, are purely for illustration.
As regards I recognize all great sons and daughters of TIV not listed.
