I had a chance to visit the Prambanan temple during my stay in Yogyakarta. I purposely choose to visit at very early morning to avoid the high temperatures during the daytime.
As the largest Hindu temple site in Indonesia, Prambanan temple is listed in world Heritage. I’m very impressed by the spectacular Prambanan temple, it looks very similar like the Angkor Wat in Cambodia.
Although the Prambanan temple been through several earthquake in the history, but it is still truly lives up to its reputation as a shining gem of Indonesian cultural heritage.
At night, I watched the Ramayana Ballet show at the Prambanan theatre. About the Epic Ramayana, I’ve been watched before in a different version with Balinese dance. This part of story is about Prince Rama, with the help from monkey god Hanuman to rescues his abducted wife, Princess Sita. It was a wonderful show.

In dieser Episode holen wir Anfang Oktober 2020 unseren Camper Van im Hamburger Hafen ab, um ihn anschließend für unsere Weiterreise durch Europa wieder fit zu machen.
Nach mehreren Tagen harter Putzarbeit sind wir schließlich endlich wieder soweit, dass wir weiterfahren können. Unser erster Stopp ist Aschaffenburg, wo wir eine ruhige Nacht, die Aussicht auf das Schloss Kaiserburg und im Anschluss eine überragende Brizza genießen.
Danach geht es weiter in Richtung Süden und mit einem Abstecher nach Nürnberg schließlich bis zur Schweizer Grenze.
