????☀️#Yantai is famous for its fairyland-like coast, where the Yellow Sea and Bohai Sea meet. As a renowned tourist city in China, it is rich in tourism resources such as mountains, sea, islands, springs and rivers, and characteristic cultural deposits.
From Yangma Island all the way west, there are pearl-like scenic spots inlaid on the thousands of miles of golden coastline such as the lavender flower sea, North China Sea Park, Haichang Fisherman's Wharf, the pier, Moon Bay, Mount Yantai, and Penglai Pavilion, which form the irreproducible Coastal Wonderland, Fresh Yantai together with rural tourism and leisure resorts, tourist towns and wineries.

Yantai is a beach city situated along the north coast of the Shandong Peninsula, south of the junction of Bohai Sea and Yellow Sea and parallel to the southern coast of Liaoning. The name Yantai (lit. Smoke Tower) derives from the watchtowers constructed on Mount Qi in 1398 under the reign of the Hongwu Emperor of the Ming dynasty. The towers were used to light signal fires and send smoke signals, called langyan from their supposed use of wolf dung for fuel.

Last summer, I fell in love with Yantai, a small beach town situated in northeastern Shandong Province. While I was only there for a little over 24 hours, I knew I had to capture this beautiful and unique town to share with you all on Youtube. Hailing from the Shanghai-based swimming pool, Kenipo, part-human part-crawfish 小龙虾 (XiaoLongXia) swim members were invited to take part in the notorious Yantai open-water swim challenge!
Teaming up with local swim club, 烟台市冬泳俱乐部 (Yantai Winter Swimming Club), the intrepid adventurers successfully took the challenge head-on, completing a 14-kilometer round-trip from the shores of Yantai beach to 担子岛 (Danzi Island), now dubbed XiaoLongXia Island!
