Westport House and Westport Town | Co Mayo - Ireland
Westport is a vibrant touristic town in Co Mayo in Ireland. Westport house and gardens are a major attraction there. Westport house is a privately owned house which is usually open for visit by tickets. However it was closed to the public for renovation when we visited. There is a nice lush green grass beautiful meadows and a water dam and a lake there and one can enjoy a swan pedal boat ride there which is really exciting for the kids. Also there is a lady train service which can be enjoyed by both adults and children. The tickets for them can be purchased at the coffee wagon near the lake. Additionally there is also an adventure park for which additional ticket has to be obtained either online or onsite. It is worth a whole day trip there with the family. Once Westport house is open it is a must visit place too and for which too addition tickets are required. One can gain vast knowledge into the history of the most beautiful home of Ireland.
