Hiking the Blue Ridge Tunnel in Waynesboro Virginia

Today, I decided I wanted to do something a little bit different and after doing some research on local areas NOT in a national park or state park and after seeing a few videos from other creators in and around my general area, I came across the Blue Ridge Tunnel and knew I had to check it out! I have never hiked a tunnel, cave or similar so I was pretty excited to see it and I was not disappointed! I absolute do want to come back again with some more knowledge of my camera gear so I can get some better footage from inside the tunnel. In low light my GoPro's hypersmooth (internal stabilization) does not work, at all, which is why you see the difference from outside and inside the tunnel. I have some idea to improve it and I'm looking forward to returning. Definitely check it out if you are ever in the area!

Waynesboro To Charlottesville, Virginia, USA

Waynesboro is an independent city in the Commonwealth of Virginia. As of the 2020 census, the population was 22,196. The city is surrounded by Augusta County and is named for General Anthony Wayne.

Charlottesville is a city in Virginia. It’s home to the University of Virginia, with its core campus designed by Thomas Jefferson. On the outskirts, Jefferson’s mountain-top plantation, Monticello, includes a mansion and rebuilt slave quarters. Highland, President James Monroe’s home, retains many original furnishings. The city is a gateway to Shenandoah National Park, along a section of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Let's Visit the Blue Ridge Parkway (Near Waynesboro, VA)

In this video, I head up to the Blue Ridge Parkway which starts just east of Waynesboro, VA. I check out the different scenic overlooks (showing both sides) for the first 10 miles south from US 250 to Raven's Roost. The Blue Ridge Parkway starts at US 250 (near I-64) and the Skyline Trail and travels the Blue Ridge Mountains down to North Carolina where it meets up with the Great Smoky Mountains.
