In this video, we visit a couple of Alsace's most beautiful and picturesque wine villages. In both villages, we stayed at dedicated motor home places within walking distance from the old town centres. Very convenient, and inexpensive and makes it easier to visit several times for example during a weekend.

On a wonderful Easter trip to France, we spent the last days in Alsace, meeting with friends and enjoying nice wine and food. The two villages, Eguisheim and Riquewihr are absolutely worth a visit.

4K Visiting Triberg - Breisach In Germany ???????? On the way to Colmar - France ????????
As we begin week six, the last week of our trip we leave Germany and head into France. First though we cross the Balck Forest and make a short stop in Triberg. With Germany`s highest waterfall, Triberg is a magnet for thousands of tourists many searching out the wood carved Cuckoo Clocks. Following a scenic ride we arrive at the Rhine and pause in Breisach before crossing the border into Alsace, France. The craggy hill in the centre of town is crowned by St Stephens Munster, a wonderful Romanesque and Gothic building. After more ice cream we made our way to our budget hotel in the heart of Colmar. The glorious old centre of Colmar is one of the most attractive places in Alsace and our base for the next three nights.
Zu Beginn der sechsten Woche verlassen wir Deutschland und fahren nach Frankreich. Zunächst durchqueren wir jedoch den Bockwald und machen einen kurzen Stopp in Triberg. Mit Deutschlands höchstem Wasserfall ist Triberg ein Magnet für Tausende von Touristen, von denen viele die holzgeschnitzten Kuckucksuhren suchen. Nach einer landschaftlich reizvollen Fahrt zum Rhein und Pause in Breisach, bevor Sie die Grenze ins Elsass überqueren. Der schroffe Hügel im Zentrum der Stadt wird von St. Stephens Munster gekrönt. Nach einer kurzen Erkundung fahren wir für drei Nächte nach Colmar.

Alsace is a historic region in north-eastern France, in the Rhine plain. Located on the border with Germany and Switzerland, it has been under the control of Germany and France over the centuries, and reflects a mixture of these cultures. It is mainly known for its architecture, its half-timbered houses and its churches, but above all for its special gastronomy and wine. This region can be visited during all the year, and every season will make enjoying a different side of its aspect. You can easily travel in Strasbourg or Colmar, the biggest cities, or enjoy trips in the small villages and meet the kind Alsacian people. This country is also filled with a great historic patrimony such as castles, and churches.

This vlog was made when bicycle touring from Greece to England. Today, I cycled out of Germany and into France across the River Rhine. Sculpture d'acier pour des soldats soviétiques à Valleroy
Ils sont plus de 300 soldats prisonniers soviétiques forcés à extraire le minerai de fer lorrain en 1943-44. 54 d’entre eux meurent d’épuisement et sont enterrés à Valleroy loin leur pays et de leur famille à plus de 2000 kms à l’Est.
