Franek was diagnosed with cerebral palsy (weakness of the entire right side of the body) and he will require constant rehabilitation for the rest of his life. Travel Vlog Africa Day 49-50 in Nigeria Lagos ???? OVERCROWDED & No Cameroon Visa Again... ???? ????
Hello and welcome to Day 49 & 50 in LAGOS! The biggest populated city in AFRICA with about 25-30 million people living estimated!
On day 49 we had to take a ride to the very centre of Lagos to Victoria Island were most of the embassies are located, and we are staying north which is about 36km ride and Google maps saying we will be riding over 2 hours in the traffic , were Dayo gave us a warning , be ready, you will feel it , its crazy!
Daniel took up the challenge , and without any bags from @enduristan on our KTM 790, Daniel did it just under 1 hour, but it was tough as we felt how many cars are blocking all lanes and everybody is driving crazy!
So firstly we arrived at Cameroon Embassy on Victoria Island just to find out they want a bit cheaper price comparing to Cotonou - 110 000 CFA per Visa which is still about 150 euros per visa! CRAZYYYYY!! AND they told us its DANGEROUS to ride south borders and its not possible, they will not issue us a visa unless we agree to take north border VIA GURIN!
Our financial situation is currently CRITICAL so Daniel took a decision to skip as he heard its possible to get a visa in Calabar for 50 000 CFA (West African Franc) which is half price so we left...
Before leaving Victoria Island we tried to find Gabon embassy which was missing on its pointed location on google, drove to South Africa embassy just to find out its not available to make an appointment on place and they recommended to do it online so we left. Went to find out SIM cards for Nigeria to have Data and stop searching for wifi's that are very hardly available...
Got our MTN sim card and rode back home north to chill with Lara Annie and Dayo, afterwards some food before sleep back at White Chase Hotel for day 50!
Next Day Mimi was feeling sick all morning, so Daniel got tired of hanging around and went a walk around searching for a haircut!
Everybody warned him to never dare to walk during dark, and even its dangerous to walk in the day for us !
But Dan never cares, and went to get his Haircut for a shocking price of around 0,90 cents! WHA`t a bargain!
Afterwards he went to ATM to withdraw 50 euros and he only got 20 000 Naira which is near the same rate google shows, just to find out later Dayo taking piss of him saying your getting government rip off's price, that in NIGERIA only stupid people exchange money like that...
Dayo gave us a special lesson that anybody will exchange black exchange which is so easy to find with a rate 30-40% better! WHAAAAT!! ITS FREE MONEY!!! SO VERY VALUABLE LESSON IN NIGERIA.. DOLLARS MOSTLY - CASH IS KING!
Later he went to buy some fruits at a local fruit store some pineapple and apples to bring back to hotel and stopped to order Kebab Chawarma and Chicken wings with fries which were goooood breakfast for Mimi waiting at the hotel!
Afterwards went to visit Dayo and Lara to get a surprise them gifting us extra light set on our KTM 790 to continue our crazy adventure around Africa..
Hanged around last moments with them and Riley the sweetest puppy before saying final goodbyes and hugs!

It was sad to leave them and get ready for tomorrow early departure at 06:00 as our plan is to reach Calabar which is far east south about 600-700km away and Dayo warned us to be ready with crazy early Lagos traffic - hundreds of police military checkpoints and RAINY SEASON STARTING !
