Short Portrait film of Ray Atkins, English painter living in South-West France.
Captured over the course of a few weeks at his home, in the foothills of the French Pyrenees mountains. I spent time with Ray as he prepared for a couple of exhibitions, one within his village of Aspet and another larger exhibition in Toulouse, that featured in the film.
Both Ray and his partner Hsiao-hwa welcomed me whole heartedly during my time there, offering a comfortable experience living in a beautiful part of the world with their adorable cat Suti.
Many thanks goes out to both of them, especially Hsiao-hwa for cooking the most delicious vegetarian meals I have experienced in Asian cuisine. To her daughter Itong as well, for connecting us all and bring the project to fruition.
