They are trying to sell you something so it will be nothing but sunshine, rainbows, and a bunch of smoke up your skirt. They won't tell you about crime, poverty, or insurance you'll need because of natural disasters. I will.

What we love about Chicot State Park:
1. Sites are large with plenty of space. Some are close together but arranged so living space is your own space. Wood views and some limited water views.
2. Many of the sites have decks. We loved our wooden deck!
3. Nice trail through the woods for walking, biking (can be muddy in places)
4. Kids' Trail - fun, short lighted path with plant and animal cut outs to find along the way.
5. Splash Pad
6. Kayak Trail
7. Cabins
8. Miles of roads for walking, running, and biking
9. Wildlife
10. Verizon service works well
What we didn't love about Chicot State Park:
1. Our site was a little sloped, but it worked out fine with using blocks under front tires. Some sites are sloped and some sites have drop offs. Check site photos when you reserve.

Our family is on a family tent camping trip to Chicot State Park in Ville Platte, Louisiana for the first time. We woke up in the tent and made breakfast before going to the Arboretum in Chicot State Park for the Junior Ranger Program where the kids got to touch snakes and got on the hiking trails at this great Louisiana State Park.
The Junior Ranger Program at Chicot State Park in Louisiana is divided into 3 parts. First you have a classroom orientation. Second a short hike on a small hiking trail. Third a longer hike on the big hiking trails and an activity book.
Do you know how to say camping in other languages? In Chinese it's 露营. In spanish it's cámping. In Portuguese it's acampamento. In Hindi it's डेरा डालना. In Arabic it's تخييم.
I also know that in Italian it's campeggio. In Japanese it's キャンプ. In German it's Camping. In French it's camping. Do you know how to say camping in any other languages? Let me know in the comments below!
