Notre Dame Cathedral Paris Travel Guide
Notre Dame Cathedral, also known as Notre Dame de Paris (meaning Our Lady of Paris in French), is a Gothic cathedral located in the fourth arrondissement of Paris, France. The island is located on the eastern half of the Île de la Cité, which is an island in the middle of the Seine River and the oldest portion of Paris, dating back to the fourth century.
The construction of Notre Dame Cathedral began in the 12th century, but it was not completed until nearly 300 years later. It is today one of the most notable cathedrals in France, as well as one of the oldest. The different architectural styles that run throughout the structure demonstrate the length of time it took to construct. Although it is largely French Gothic, there are portions of the building that exhibit the Renaissance and Naturalism eras. These various styles contribute to the building's magnificent yet eccentric attractiveness.
The Cathedral of Notre Dame is arguably most recognized for its connection to the story of the Hunchback of Notre Dame, which has inspired several cartoons and films. But the French Gothic Architecture that continues to draw people from all over the world, is an unequaled, flawless example to this day. The small town of #Roussillon is located on a steep hill between the mountains of Ventoux and the protected lands of the Luberon.
The town is famous first of all for its ocher rocks located around.
Since the 18th century, the textile industry in #Provence has developed rapidly, and ocher has found demand as a dye.
Ocher mined in local quarries was used to produce paints that were used to paint the facades and walls of their houses.

Sur le vif : Little Tokyo à Paris
La rue St Anne dans le 1er arrondissement de Paris est connue pour ses nombreux commerces japonais. Mais c'est bien plus que cette rue, c'est un espace que nous pouvons appeler Little Tokyo où le passionné de Japon pourra certainement trouver ce qui lui manque.
