Em seguimento do último video sobre Viana no qual visitamos o núcleo medieval (antiga matriz, Sé Catedral, Misericórdia e Praça da República), continuamos a visita por Viana do Castelo, agora por ruas com solares urbanos uns seiscentistas, outros setecentistas, e alguns antigos Mosteiros. A Viana do séc. XVII está relacionada com o ciclo do açucar brasileiro que se prolonga até 1660. Período de intensa actividade nas docas : estabelecimento do comércio de estrangeiros (famílias de negociantes holandeses, flamengos, franceses, radicam-se em Viana). Dos portos brasileiros (Rio de Janeiro,Ilhéus, Pernambuco, Olinda e do Recife) provém um volume apreciável da produção açucareira brasileira, aumentando o movimento com portos da Europa setentrional (Ruão, Antuérpia, Amesterdão, Hamburgo etc.). Entre 1566-1660 cerca de 25% da produção brasileira é transportada por navios de Viana. A rua da Bandeira é uma das maiores ruas e mais antigas de Viana, seria a antiga entrada na cidade para quem vinha por Ponte de Lima. Esta rua tem várias e importantes antigas casas e solares. Espergueira Mendes é outra rua importante no sentido poente, carregada de história, e que nos leva até à Igreja do antigo Mosteiro de S.Domingos. Aí podemos ver a excelente talha dourada de duas épocas : Retábulo-mor do primeiro ciclo do séc. XVIII, com uma imaginaria fora do comum, e o retábulo de Nª Srª do Rosário, um famoso exemplar da talha dourada da segunda metade do séc. XVIII da escola Bracarense de André Soares . O Forte da Barra foi um importante sistema defensivo para control da barra do Lima, de corsarios e inimigos, vamos observar o seu crescimento ao longo dos séculos. A Igreja da Nossa Senhora da Agonia é um dos ex-Libris da cidade já que junta uma romaria todos os anos a 20 de Agosto. E por último demos um pulo à Praia Norte, o limite atlântico de Viana, o seu Fortim da Areosa e o arranque da ecovia que nos leva até quase a Vila Praia de Âncora.

Rio de Janeiro – Brazil’s Most Popular and Frequented Attraction
Rio de Janeiro or simply #Rio, is the second-most populous attractions in Brazil and the sixth-most populous in the Americas. A city rich in culture and dramatically set between the mountains plus the sea have surprises around every corner. The city has been designated as a World Heritage Site, named Rio de Janeiro Carioca Landscapes between the Mountain and the Sea, by UNESCO on 1 July 2012 as a Cultural Landscape.
Rio de Janeiro is on the far western part of a strip of Brazil's #Atlantic coast close to the Tropic of #Capricorn where the shoreline is oriented east west. Facing largely south, the city was founded on an inlet of this stretch of the coast and its entrance is marked by a point of land called Sugar Loaf (Pão de Açúcar) a calling card of the city.
Rio de Janeiro is one of the most visited cities in the Southern Hemisphere and is known for its natural settings Carnival, samba, bossanova, and #balneario beaches such as Barra da Tijuca, #Copacabana, Ipanema and Leblon. In addition to the beaches, some of the most famous landmarks include the giant statue of Christ the Redeemer atop #Corcovado Mountain named one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, #Sugarloaf Mountain with its cable car the Sambadrome and a permanent grandstand-lined parade avenue which is used during Carnival.
Rio de Janeiro was one of the Host Cities for the #2014FIFAWorldCup, welcoming millions of people as they make their way to this international sporting event. In addition, it did host the #2016SummerOlympics, inviting sportsmen and women, as well as their millions of fans, to focus their attention on this bustling destination.
