Things to do in Rosario, Argentina - Travel Video Guide (Episode 045)

Together with Claudio, a real Rosariño, I show you things to do in Rosario (Santa Fe, Argentina). Claudio, who was also my spanish teacher tells a bit about the history and the culture of the city - you'll see it's not only about beautiful women!

Moreover it is also the first episode in spanish (subtitles are provided for this part) as I improved my spanish in Rosario supported by the school of Claudio & Stephanie.

---What is so special about Rosario? ---
Rosario is part of the Santa Fé region and surprised me a lot, I guess fell in love with this little gem on the Paraña River.
In Rosario you'll find the most attractive women in Argentina! This is what you come to hear from argentineans if you speak about your intention to visit this city. During my stay I realized that the city itself is a real beauty queen ;)

--- Why have I been there? ---
I came to take a break from travelling, to improve my spanish skills and to relax. This place was perfect for that and really enjoyed living in Rosario for more than 1,5 months.

This student city is a great place to be as it offers all amenities of a big city but isn't that hustling and bustling like for example B.A.: if you stay in the 'microcentro' you can walk or bike everywhere, you have great parks to relax and on the weekends you can party hard in one of the numerous clubs. And of course: you can meet beautiful people :)

--- Topics covered by this video ---
Is it important to learn spanish if you're traveling to Argentina? Which famous revolutionist was born in Rosario? Why is Rosario so popular by young people? What about things to do in Rosario?
- All these questions will be answered in this episode!

I hope you enjoy this Travel Video Blog episode from Argentina (which comes with some Bloopers at the end) and keep following for the next Travel Video.
Ah...and please feel free to share, embedd & tell your friends ;)

Buenos Aires FOOD TOUR ???? | Eating STEAK, PIZZA + MILANESA Before Leaving Argentina ✈️

In today’s video, we’re taking you on a little do-it-yourself Buenos Aires food tour. We had 3 days in the city before catching our flight back to Canada, and we basically spent those 3 days eating our favourite foods, and getting our fix of classic Argentine dishes! In this video, we’ll be trying different cuts of steaks that are far too big not to share, ordering every slice of pizza at one of our favourite pizzerias, tasting different types of milanesas made with chicken and veal, and of course, sipping on Malbec as we say our farewell to the city. At the end, we’ll share our journey home, and the welcome from our beloved Togo. But now it’s time to eat, so bring your appetite and let’s kick off this Buenos Aires food tour!

So, first up we visited a bodegón, which is one of those old-fashioned restaurants, typical of Buenos Aires, where the portions are abundant and the food is good! We opted for steak at this restaurant. We ordered the entraña, which is a thin cut of beef, and the bife de chorizo, which is the sirloin strip steak. The bife came with a fried egg on top and a giant platter of french fries, rice, potato salad, and mixed salad. It was a lot of food and that dish along would have been plenty for 3 people. The total was $45 USD or $15 per person.

The next day called for pizza! Mainly because Sam instead we couldn’t leave Buenos Aires without visiting one of its oldest pizzerias. Güerrín is located on Corrientes Avenue right in the heart of the theatre district, and the place is always packed. We ordered every individual slice on the menu to give you an idea of what this pizzeria has to offer. There was Napolitan, Pomarolla, Fugazzeta, Anchovies, and the house speciality, Güerrin with red peppers, green olives and lots of mozzarella. The total for that meal with beer was $25 USD or $8 per person.

For our final day in the city, we decided to eat milanesas and supremas. These are breaded cutlets, the only difference is that one is made with veal and the other with chicken breast. This is another classic Argentine dish that needs to be added to your Buenos Aires food tour when you visit. The total for that meal was $40 USD or $13 per person.

And that’s how we feasted during our last 3 days in Buenos Aires. We also consumed plenty of cafe con leche, medialunas, and ice cream, which explains why we might’ve been a little heavier when we got back home and stepped on the scale. But hey, Argentina is a place where you come to eat.

But now let’s travel back to Canada and say hello to Togie!

Last Day in BUENOS AIRES, Argentina + Start of Our PATAGONIA TRIP! ✈️????️

This was our last day in Buenos Aires before the travelling trio became the travelling duo once more. After 6 weeks travelling together across Argentina and Uruguay, my dad Daniel flew back home, while Sam and I hopped on a flight south to begin the Patagonia leg of our journey. But before we parted ways, we had time for one final meal in Buenos Aires and some reminiscing as we walked through the city parks.

In this video we'll take you to our favourite local restaurant Bodegón Norte. This is a place that we try to visit at least once when we're in Buenos Aires. It's the type of restaurant where the food is good, the portions are large, and the service is quick. We ordered some classics like milanesa, merluza and sorrentinos.

Then, we enjoyed a walk through one the city squares. It was springtime and the jacaranda trees were in bloom with these beautiful lilac flowers.

We then took a cab to Ezeiza, where my dad flew back to Toronto, while Sam and I got on a flight bound for Bariloche in Northern Patagonia. The plan: to slowly travel all the way down to the ends of the earth!

OUR ARGENTINA TRIP STARTS NOW! | Visiting Buenos Aires for 3 Days

Our Argentina trip starts now! The biggest travel and food series we've ever created is kicking off in this travel blog by visiting Buenos Aires for 3 days. Firstly, we highlight our flight from Toronto to Buenos Aires in the dead of winter in Canada arriving in Argentina in mid-summer - a 70 degree weather change!

Our first order of business in Buenos Aires is to grab great local food in Recoleta so we head over to one of favorite restaurants in the city Bodegon Norte to grab a meal consisting of Milanesa, salad, ravioli pasta with a bottle of Argentine wine. We then grab Argentine ice cream (helado) at Rapa Nui including dulce de leche flavour.

We start off day two with breakfast in Buenos Aires at La Biela having cafe con leche with media luna. Afterwards we check out the nicest bookstore in the city, and one of the most beautiful in the world, El Ateneo before grabbing pizza slices at Banchero. We finish the day off visiting Recoleta cemetery one of the most famous attractions in Buenos Aires.

For our last day in Buenos Aires we start off with facturas and coffee for breakfast before heading to Puerto Madero for a stroll and a ship museum. For lunch we have delicious Argentine parrilla (grilled beef) with Malbec wine.

Overall, this was our 3 days itinerary in Buenos Aires. We'll be back again soon!

OUR ARGENTINA TRIP STARTS NOW! | Visiting Buenos Aires for 3 Days:

Hey guys! We are Samuel and Audrey, a travel vlogging couple from Canada. In this travel channel we share our travel and food vlogs while touring the world.

We had the privilege of traveling around Argentina for nearly 3 months from January- April 2019 on a trip covering a large section of the country.

We kicked things off with several days in Buenos Aires where we were joined by Audrey's parents eating and sightseeing around some of our favourite neighbourhoods in the city. We then flew from Buenos Aires to Cordoba where we spent a couple of weeks in the Sierras of Cordoba visiting both La Cumbrecita and Villa General Belgrano with highlights including hiking and delicious German and Swiss cuisine.

From Cordoba, we then travelled a considerable distance on an overnight bus to Mar Del Plata just in time for a special food festival called Feria Masticar featuring the best of Argentine food and wine. We spent several days enjoying beaches and seafood before heading south to Patagonia to visit the province of Chubut.

While on the Atlantic side of Chubut we visited Puerto Madryn, Peninsula Valdes, Trelew, Gaiman and Dolavon. To summarize our time in this area, we had incredibly close encounters with wildlife including penguins, sea lions and guanacos while also experiencing Welsh culture in Argentina.

Our time in Patagonia continued as we headed from east to west trading more barren landscapes for thick forests, impressive mountains and magnificent lakes. We spent significant time in both Esquel and El Bolson with day trips to visit Trevelin, Parque Nacional Los Alerces, Cholila and Lago Puelo. Highlights included sailing, hiking, riding vintage trains and partaking in the national asado festival.

We finished visiting Patagonia with time spent in Villa La Angostura, San Martin De Los Andes and Bariloche where we enjoyed more stunning scenery and hiking. On our way back to Buenos Aires, we took the Tren Patagonia to Las Grutas before meeting up with Audrey's dad again.

To finish off our trip in Argentina, we spent more time in the capital and later Mendoza where we got to experience wine tourism to its fullest extent. Overall, we had an amazing time travelling around Argentina having only scratched the surface of this vast and diverse country.

Overall our Argentina travel series explores cities, small towns that are off-the-beaten-path, and scenic attractions with a strong emphasis on Argentina cuisine and local culture.
