The canton is a potentially ecological tourist destination, according to the registry of the Ministry of Tourism,
Pichincha has 20 tourist destinations, of which 10 are natural, and 10 cultural. There are two ports formed in the reservoir, one is in Puerto Conguillo, and the other is Puerto Chorrillo, where visitors can enjoy sailing by barge, canoe and boats, and observe the islets formed after the construction of the Daule-Peripa dam. , Flora and fauna. The Daule River is the most important fresh water reserve in Ecuador , you can take walks in it. In July, the Cristo del Consuelo festivities attract thousands of people every year.

Ambato, Ecuador | Traveling Coronavirus Ecuador
This series will be less about Ecuador, and more about traveling in the time of covid-19. Ecuador is definitely feeling the effects of Coronavirus. All the hospitals beds in Quito are full, and the number of cases are going up. We've been keeping ourselves safe, locked up in our home for the past 4 months. But Ecuador's economy is also suffering horribly. Oil prices have crashed. China has stopped importing shrimp from Ecuador. The tourism industry has essentially been put on pause... until now. We've decided to travel Ecuador in the time of Coronavirus. We love travel, it's who we are, so not doing it for the entire summer seems almost impossible. It was a difficult decision, and it may seem like a greedy act, but there are people all over the country that rely on the tourism industry. When we booked our first guesthouse, the reply we got from the owners melted our hearts. They said we were the first booking they had in months and they were very excited for us to come.
We will be taking all precautions, wearing masks at all times, sanitizing our hands frequently, and we will avoid all crowds. Ecuador has some of the strictest Covid-19 regulations in the world. The numbers are only going up because people are not following the rules. If we are careful and we abide by them, I think we can safely help the tourism industry, and really connect with the culture.
Our first destination is Ambato, the capital of Tungurahua province. It's a city surrounded by some of South America's biggest mountains.

La Perla de Ecuador. De paseo por el malecon 2000 a orillas del rio Guayas, dirigiéndose al cerro Santa Ana está el tradicional barrio Las Peñas con sus calles coloridas, donde para llegar al faro de la ciudad subes por unos 400 escalones. También está la Perla, jardines, lagunas, monumentos, el parque Seminario y sus iguanas, algunas estatuas en la plaza San Francisco.
The Ultimate Galapagos
This is a vacation documentary for the Ultimate Galapagos Overseas Adventure Travel trip we took in May of 2014. The Ultimate Galapagos is a 7 day small ship adventure cruising around the islands with typically two land excursions and two snorkeling dives per day. As you can see in the video the animals in the Galapagos are unafraid of humans which allow very close access for superb photography. Also, in the Galapagos you will encounter animals that do not exist anywhere else in the world.
One reason for this is that the Galapagos Islands are an archipelago, a group of islands closely scattered in a body of water. These islands were formed by volcanoes erupting from the ocean floor. These islands never shared a history with a large continental land mass. These are truly volcanic islands that are very young in geologic time and too removed from mainland for most flora/fauna as well as animals to make the long journey.
The remoteness and geographic isolation allowed the flora and fauna of the Galapagos to develop in a unique way, enabling animals to evolve in their own isolated ecosphere to produce species not found anywhere else in the world.
As you can see in the video this was a wonderful experience that I would recommend to anyone.
