Val d'Isere, France snowy village walk in 4K | 2023 Ski Season | DJI RS3 Mini
Val d'Isere is in Savoie, France, close to the Italian border and the Vanoise National Park. It is part of the world-class Tignes-Val d'Isere ski resort area, which hosts around 300 kilometers of pistes and is famous for producing athletes such as Jean Claude Killy. Landmarks include the parish church, built in the 1600s, and La Face de Bellevarde, a ski run made famous in the Men's Downhill Alpine Skiing event in the 1992 Winter Olympics.
This video focuses on the village centre of Val d'Isere, starting at the base of the resort's slopes before moving into its streets of chalets and restaurants. It is a great place to stay, with easy access to lifts and a lot to see and do for apres ski activity. The village has some great restaurants including La Casserole, with French fondue and raclette, and La Gourmandine, with its legendary - and terrifying - Lo «3» burger, complete with three beef steak patties.
I recorded this video in January 2023, and, despite it being early in the season, the powder was great and there were many other skiers and snowboarders ready to enjoy it. There is a cut in the middle of the video as I ran out of battery close to the end, which is why time seems to move ahead. I did not account for just how much cold weather would affect my camera!

This is my first video using the DJI RS3 Mini. I think it performed very well and was a great travel companion. It is about as stable as the RS2 pro, despite being much smaller and not supporting my camera and lens combo. I will continue to use it in future videos.

Crestet befindet sich zwischen dem Fluss Ouveze und den Dentelles de Montmirail, unweit von Vaison-la-Romaine. Es ist nicht wie andere bekannte Dörfer der Provence touristisch überlaufen und nur zu Fuss zu erkunden.
Crestet is located between the river Ouveze and the Dentelles de Montmirail, not far from Vaison-la-Romaine. It is not like other well-known villages of Provence touristy and only to explore by foot.

On pourrait croire que le village de Valréas se situe dans la Drôme mais il est en fait rattaché au Vaucluse. Comme Grillon, Richerenches et Visan d’ailleurs. Pourquoi ? Parce que nous sommes ici
dans l’Enclave des Papes ! La preuve : les bornes papales encore visibles sur les chemins.
Ces villages furent acquis par les Papes pour étendre leur influence au sein du royaume de France. Mais ce qu’on sait moins, c’est qu’ils furent spécifiquement choisis pour la qualité de leurs vins. Tant qu’à faire ! Et il y une bonne raison à cela. Les vins des Côtes du Rhône et Côtes du Rhône Villages produits ici bénéficient de la rencontre unique des sols argilo-calcaires et de l’altitude des premiers contreforts des Préalpes, du soleil provençal et du mistral. Un terroir original qui donne des vins qui s’accordent bien avec un autre produit exceptionnel de la région : la truffe !
Richerenches, où je me trouve, en est la capitale et le marché aux truffes qui s’y tient en hiver est le plus important d’Europe.

Le mas a gardé tout son charme d'antan. Vous apprécierez sa proximité de la ville tout en bénéficiant d'un calme absolu et d'une campagne magnifique bordée de collines et de montagnes.
Sur la propriété se trouve, également, un gîte mitoyen au mas avec son entrée indépendante. Ce gîte peut accueillir 4 personnes maximum. Le terrain est partagé.

We rondden onze trip door de Pyreneeën op Camping de Montolieu in de buurt van Carcasonne om ons voor te bereiden op de Provence, maar vooral om nog een een wasje te doen.
Vanuit Carcassonne reden we via St Remy de Provence, waar we een France Passion plekje gevonden hadden bij Domaine le Moulin du Calanquet, een olijfboer waar we olijfolie mochten proeven en een bezoekje brachten aan de molen. Het dorpje St Remy de Provence en L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue mochten ook niet ontbreken op onze route richting Valréas en Visan.
Valréas en Maison d'Anvers is al jaren ons vaste stekje als we richting zuiden rijden, de supersympatieke Sigi, Vanessa en hun dochter Margot zorgden voor een warme welkom.
Via Domaine de Lauribert een indrukwekkende wijngaard, waar campers zeer welkom zijn en waar er zelfs de nodige voorzieningen zijn voor camper, zetten we onze toch verder richting noorden.
Er zijn 6 delen van onze geweldig trip, een mooie herrinnering voor ons, hiermee willen we jou ook inspireren met onze fijne plekjes. We maakten een selectie van onze beelden en onze belevenissen, voor ons ook een mooie aandenken.

Driving in France: Autoroute A7 E15 from Valence to Orange (A9) - Route du Soleil
In this video you can ride along on Route du Soleil (A7 E15) from Valence to the junction with Autoroute A9 at Orange. The A7 South of Lyon is a busy holiday route in the summer connecting the East of France and Lyon itself to the French Riviera and beyond.
For countries like Belgium and the Netherlands this is often also the quickest route to the popular holiday destinations in the Southeast of France, which is why it can be a very crowded road. It has a full alignment of 2 x 3 from Lyon to Orange where it meets the A9 and continues in the direction of Marseille, another top 5 city in France.
The A7 follows the Rhône valley on the Western side of the Alps and is relatively flat. West of the highway (right side) we pass the French Ardèche region. Valence is a historic city with buildings dating back from as far as the 11th century and has over 60.000 inhabitants. Orange is a city with almost 30.000 inhabitants and shows up in the history books dating back as far as Roman times.
