Exploring Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental 2022 #dumagetme travel vlog: Where to Eat & Go!| Anna Cruz
We spent a couple of days at Dumaguete City last June 2022 to check out their tourist sites in Negros Oriental! We also did a bit of a side trip at Oslob, Cebu and Siquijor during our nine-day vacation at Central Visayas.
Sharing with everyone our itinerary in Dumaguete City! If you're game to spend a lot of energy to finish all the sites, it's possible to visit all in two days. It would also be best to arrange your transpo prior to going to Dumaguete as the tourist spots are not easily accessible via commute.

This vlog happened before the Philippines' enhanced community quarantine.
I flew from Manila to Dumaguete at 4:30 AM and safely landed there before 6 AM.
My tour guide / driver fetched me at the airport. We dropped my baggage to my accommodation and left it at the reception as it was still too early for check in.
After that, we headed to Harold's mansion where I reserved for my Apo island tour the next day.
Then, we started the Valencia tour where we have visited Casaroro falls, Sulfur vent, Pulang-bato falls and Tierra Alta.

Wow, what a pleasant surprise to leave Dumaguete and enjoy the natural beauty of Valencia in Negros Oriental in The Philippines! This day was filled with swimming at the Pulangbato Falls, the steam at the Sulfur Vents aka Smokey Mountain, relaxing at the Red Rock Hotsprings and of course enjoying the amazingly beautiful Forest Camp pools!
This was definitely one of my best days!

Sunday Market in Valencia, Negros Oriental
If you visit Dumaguete or the surrounding areas, you should not miss out on visiting the Sunday Market in Valencia, Negros Oriental.
Each Sunday, the Valencia Plaza turns into a big market, but even more a hot spot and attraction. It is the time and place to meet friends, socialize with others and stroll through the stands, buy some fresh farmer´s produce or try some of the local and international delicacies and snacks offered at the Sunday Market in Valencia.
International visitors should not expect a typical Asian market, where one can buy a lot of faked “branded” cloths, watches and electronics. The Valencia Market is more traditional, spiced up with a section where more international food is served. In the veggie section on can find the freshest local goods from the small farms of the region.
But the most important aspect of this Sunday market is, to have a good time in a striving community. At the Valencia market are all friends and one can see smiles all around.

Amazing! Forest Camp Mountain Resort in Valencia, Negros Oriental - walk tour
Valencia Forest Camp Mountain Resort is an expansive property in the foothills of Valencia, with its natural beauty blended into the green jungle surroundings it comprises.This family-owned and run resort is a common destination for locals looking for a nature escape without having to stray too far from Dumaguete City.
The swimming pools at Forest Camp Valencia are the biggest draw, attracting travelers from all over the world to see or hear pictures of the incredible cascading pools. There are so many to count, spread around the whole house, so you shouldn't have to share with so many others on the busiest of days. The water is chemical-free, naturally pumped out of the river that flows across the grounds.

This video features the very famous Sunday Market which happens at the Plaza of Valencia, Negros Oriental right next to Dumaguete City going west wherein local farmers have the chance to showcase their fresh harvest for sale to visitors from other cities and municipalities and other locals, like vegetables, fruits and some other products. Probably one of the biggest Sunday Market in the Phillipines, expats gather in the plaza to relax and also locals meet up or have a good time at the Plaza after going to church. Not only locals, some expats also sale their foods, inspired from their country of origin, like from Indian, European or Spanish and other international cuisines.
Valencia, officially the Municipality of Valencia, is a 1st class municipality in the province of Negros Oriental, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 38,733 people.
It is located 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) west of Dumaguete City, the most populated city and capital of the province. The municipality was voted as the greenest and cleanest town of Negros Oriental in 2007.
Our Lady of the Abandoned is the patroness of Valencia, and her feast day is celebrated annually every October 12 with the town fiesta. The fiesta is an official non-working holiday for the town.
