Saint-Paul-de-Vence can be seen from afar, with its medieval appearance surrounded by ramparts, at the top of a hill between the Mediterranean and the Grasse Pre-Alps.
Many artists stayed there after the Second World War and brought an international reputation to the village.Today, the Maeght Foundation maintains the artistic vocation of the place.
It is certainly the most visited village in the hinterland of Nice and even one of the most touristic in France.
The fortified village of St Paul de Vence is microscopic.It only takes a few minutes to cross the village from side to side but you can spend a few hours there discovering the fantastic views of the ramparts, the architecture of the houses, the squares, the amazing art galleries and the few museums.This charming village perched between the Col de Vence and the Mediterranean offers magnificent panoramas to its visitors. On the sea side, the unobstructed view extends to the Cap d'Antibes: a painting that inspired more than one painter charmed by these Provençal colors. Modigliani, Matisse, Soutine or even Utrillo were seduced by the light of this medieval city and placed these impregnable viewpoints on their easels. At the entrance to the village, in the shade of tall plane trees, the famous boules square, immortalized by the petanque games of Lino Ventura and Yves Montand, remains a must.

By transport: Take the TGV/TER from Nice Ville to Antibes (a 27-min journey), then bus 10 from the bus stop Pole échange - Antibes to Valbonne (will take you 44 minutes).
You can also take the bus LR230 from the bus stop Albert 1er Verdun Nice all the way to its terminal Sophia Gare Routière Valbonne and then the bus 22, LR630 or LR530 to Valbonne-Hôtel de Ville.
By Car, take the A8 from Nice (33 min) or the D3 from Cannes (25 min)

HISTORY OF VALBONNE
Valbonne is fortunate to have an old center sheltered by its old houses which have kept all its character and can be visited with delight, especially since it is perfectly restored and maintained.
Valbonne has the originality, contrary to most Provencal villages of medieval origin, of having been built according to a checkerboard urban plan (the streets intersect at right angles) which dates from the early 16th century.
It is an extremely pleasant village to visit (and no doubt to live in), where it is relaxing to stroll through the beautiful, gently sloping streets, all of which will lead you to the marvelous Renaissance arcaded square, where it is so good to have lunch on the terrace of one of the restaurants.

ヴァルボンヌは南フランスのプロヴァンス＝アルプ＝コート・ダジュール地方にある、アルプ＝マリティーム県の村(街)です。
アンティーブとグラースの中間にあります。
ヴァルボンヌは広い街ですが、今回私たちが訪れたのは動画内でも説明しましたが、ヴァルボンヌの一部、旧市街です。
カラフルな建物や街並みが可愛く、歩いているとあちこちで写真や動画を撮りたくなりました。

Le nom de Valbonne (Vallis Bona - la Bonne Vallée) apparaît pour la première fois au XIIIe siècle avec la fondation d'un monastère sur un terrain offert à l'Abbaye de Prada. Contrairement à la plupart des villages provençaux, Valbonne a été construit sur un quadrillage, orthogonal défini par les moines de Lérins. Sa forme rectangulaire s'inspire clairement du plan des camps romains et le village est limité par les murs de la maison et comprend une entrée dans chacun de ses quatre côtés.

The name of Valbonne (Vallis Bona - the Good Valley) appears for the first time in the 13th century with the founding of a monastery on land offered to the Abbey of Prada. Unlike most Provençal villages, Valbonne was built on a grid pattern, orthogonal set by the monks of Lerins. Its rectangular shape is clearly inspired by the plan of Roman camps and the village is limited by the house walls and includes an entry in each of its four sides.
