Unai is a village in the Navsari district in the Indian State of Gujarat, India. Unai is connected with Waghai, Chikhli, Saputara, Nasik, Vapi, Dharampur, Shamlaji by State highway.

Vansda, also known as Bansda, is a city and a municipality in the Navsari district in the Indian State of Gujarat, covering an area of 557 km².
Vansda is connected with Waghai, Chikhli, Saputara, Nasik, Vapi, Dharampur, Shamlaji by State highway. Nearest railway station is Unai, though only narrow gauge trains pass through the station. Nearest railways station for broad gauge trains is Bilimora Jn.
Vansda is a beautiful town of full social activities. The activities of Junior Chamber International is also running in Vansda Town with the name of JCI Vansda Royal founded by Mr. Amitsinh Desai.

Dandakvan Ashram || Vihangam Yoga || Vansda || Navsari || Gujarat
This Ashram is the nearest and the most approachable from Mumbai. Situated near the dense forests of Gujarat at the bank of river Choti Cauvery, it is quite close to this beautiful Hill station - Saputara.
Yogiraj Maharshi Sadguru Sadafal Deo Ji Maharaj, who revived the knowledge of Brahmavidya after hundreds of years, and established Vihangam Yoga, visited the Kabir-Vat near this place in the year 1944. He was then requested by his disciples to visit Dandakvan. There, he met Shri Shardul Singh Solanki, an influential person from the erstwhile princely state of Vansda. Shri Solanki ji did his best for the spread of Vihangam Yoga in Gujarat. It was at his behest that the Raja of Vansda donated this land for the ashram.
This Dandakvan Ashram is the Sadguru's abode. Its importance is immeasurable. Those men and women who pine for God, when they come here, in this Dandakvan, when they behold this ultimate holy place or stay here, they will be entitled to Bhakti (devotion) and Mukti (liberation).
The heat of Surat makes it hard to believe that a forest is nearby. When you are out to explore new places, even on a pilgrimage, it is always advisable to carry a guide map. A trip to Dandakvan is special because it's a special place, and visits to special places make the occasion special as well. This is not just another forest that one can visit to enjoy the greenery and wildlife. For that purpose, there are many more options in the Indian sub-continent. This place is special because it's a lot more than a forest.
Dandakvan is the most ancient forest in this part of the world. Dandakvan is a Sanskrit word which means, a forest that punishes the sinners. When one lands in the zone of Dandakvan, it's hard to imagine how anyone can get punished in such a beautiful place - it's almost like a green heaven. But Ahilya did get punished here, as she was reduced to stone form after being cursed by her husband Sage Gautam. It was only when Shri Ram's foot brushed the stone, that she was liberated from the curse and able to regain her human form.
The Dandakvan finds mention in scriptures. Historically, it is a very significant place and the natural beauty - a culmination of the river, hills, forests and wildlife, almost has a magical effect. But what really adds to its gravity is the spirituality part.
This forest has been home to many sages and seers. Maharshi Gautam lived here and performed penance. Brahmarshi Vishwamitra visited this place along with Shri Ram. Sadguru Kabir Das lived in a place called Kabir-Vat on the banks of River Narmada. Sadguru Maharshi Sadafal Deo Ji Maharaj visited the Kabir-Vat here in the year 1944. This is the land where an ashram of Sadguru Sadafal Deo Ji Maharaj was built. This ashram that stands tall as the torchbearer of the light of the ancient science of complete knowledge and true spirituality (Brahmavidya), an ashram that has been witness to divine miracles of the Sadguru Lord.
Blessed with lush greenery and natural beauty all around, this ashram is located in tranquility near Vansda in the state of Gujarat. Surrounded by the hills and forests of the Dandakvan, the Kaveri river flows clear pretty near. There is also a lot of spiritual energy in this ashram that can be felt by anybody who meditates or even visits here. The ashram has its own history which is extremely interesting and very much realistic also.

गुजरात के नवसारी जिले में स्थिति वासन्दा राष्ट्रीय उद्यान मात्र 24 वर्ग किलोमीटर में फैला हुआ एक बेहद घना और गहरा वन्यजीव अभ्यारण है। वासन्दा राष्ट्रीय उद्यान की सीमाएँ अपने दक्षिण भाग में स्थित डांग वनवासी क्षेत्र के जंगलों तक पहुँच जाती है, और इस वजह से इस राष्ट्रीय उद्यान का संरक्षण डांग वन विभाग द्वारा किया जाता है। यह वन क्षेत्र राष्ट्रीय उद्यान बनने से पहले वंसदा के तत्कालीन राजा की निजी सम्पति था। वैसे तो वंसदा राज परिवार के द्वारा वंसदा के जंगलों में 1952 के बाद से ही पेड़ो की कटाई पर पूरी तरह से प्रतिबंध लगा दिया गया था। बाद में जब वंसदा के राजा ने यह वन क्षेत्र गुजरात सरकार को सौंप दिया तो सरकार ने 1979 में वंसदा वन क्षेत्र को सरंक्षित वन क्षेत्र घोषित कर दिया। उस के बाद से यह स्थान वासन्दा राष्ट्रीय उद्यान के नाम से जाना जाता है। सह्याद्रि पर्वतमाला की तलहटी में स्थित इस राष्ट्रीय उद्यान का अधिकतर भू-भाग समतल है और बेहद घना है। मानसून के समय वासन्दा राष्ट्रीय उद्यान में औसतन 2000 मिली मीटर से भी ज्यादा बारिश होती है, और उद्यान के समीप बहती हुई अंबिका नदी की वजह से भी इस राष्ट्रीय उद्यान की वनस्पति बेहद गहरी और घनी रहती है। उद्यान के कुछ हिस्सों में वनस्पति इतनी ज्यादा गहरी है की दिन के समय में भी सूर्य की रोशनी जमीन तक नहीं पहुंच पाती है। वासन्दा राष्ट्रीय उद्यान क्षेत्रफल की दृष्टि से बहुत छोटा वन्यजीव अभ्यारण हो सकता है, लेकिन वासन्दा राष्ट्रीय उद्यान की वनस्पति और वन्यजीवन इस जंगल के क्षेत्रफल के एकदम उलट है, यहाँ की वनस्पति जितनी ज्यादा घनी और गहरी है उससे कहीँ ज्यादा विभिन्नता यहाँ का वन्यजीवन अपने आप में समेटे हुए है। कुनबी, गामित, कुकना, भोई, वारली और भील जैसे आदिवासी समुदाय के लोग आज भी वंसदा राष्ट्रीय उद्यान के जंगलों में अपने स्थायी निवास बना कर रहते है, और अधिकांश आदिवासी परिवार अपने जीवनयापन के लिए उद्यान में उपलब्ध प्राकृतिक संसाधनों पर ही निर्भर है।
Situated in Gujarat's Navsari district, the Vansda National Park is an extremely dense and deep wildlife sanctuary spread over just 24 square kilometres. The boundaries of the Vansda National Park extend to the forests of the Dang tribal region in its southern part, and because of this, the National Park is protected by the Dang Forest Department. This forest area was the personal property of the then king of Vansda before it became a national park. By the way, the cutting of trees had been completely banned by the Vansda Royal family since 1952 in the forests of Vansda. Later, when the king of Vansda handed over this forest area to the Gujarat government, in 1979, the government declared the Vansda forest area as a protected forest area. Since then this place is known as Vansda National Park. Located in the foothills of the Sahyadri ranges, most of the terrain of this national park is flat and extremely dense. The Vansda National Park receives an average of more than 2000 mm of rainfall during the monsoon, and the Ambika River flowing near the park also has deep and dense vegetation. The vegetation is so deep in some parts of the garden that sunlight does not reach the ground even during day time. Vansda National Park may be a very small wildlife sanctuary in terms of area, but the vegetation and wildlife of Vansda National Park are completely opposite to the area of this forest. People from tribal communities like Kunbi, Gamit, Kukna, Bhoi, Warli and Bhil still live in the forests of Vansda National Park as their permanent residence, and most tribal families depend on the natural resources available in the park for their livelihood.

It is located on the banks of the Purna River, in the middle of the Purna Wildlife Sanctuary and is a part of the Dang Forest Division North. It is surrounded by a vast & rich forest laced with the Purna & Gira rivers. For an eco-tourist wanting to enjoy birds of moist deciduous forest mixed with bamboo, this is the best place to visit. Its also near the Girmal Falls which offer a breath taking view. Best time to visit the campsite is from October to March.
