In this video we arrive exhausted into the fascinating town of Uyuni in Bolivia, we did not really know what to expect but it was a really cool experience, all though no one tells you just how cold the place is and that hardly anywhere has proper heating. We spent our first day just walking through the streets and seeing such a different world to our own lives back home.
We were both feeling too un well to really speak as the bus journey from San Pedro de Atacama had filled with dust and made us pretty much lose our voices, but we only had limited time here so we wanted to take a look and show you around this awesome little town, before we head out for some adventures nearby.
Here is what to expect in Uyuni, it’s definitely a place to visit at least once in your lifetime!

Hi friends! I will explain in this video all About Salar de Uyuni. (The Complete Description & Touring Guide).
Bolivia’s Salar de Uyuni is considered one of the most extreme and remarkable vistas in all of South America, if not Earth. Stretching more than 4,050 square miles of the Altiplano, it is the world’s largest salt flat, left behind by prehistoric lakes evaporated long ago. Here, a thick crust of salt extends to the horizon, covered by quilted, polygonal patterns of salt rising from the ground.
At certain times of the year, nearby lakes overflow and a thin layer of water transforms the flats into a stunning reflection of the sky. This beautiful and otherworldly terrain serves as a lucrative extraction site for salt and lithium—the element responsible for powering laptops, smart phones, and electric cars. In addition to local workers who harvest these minerals, the landscape is home to the world's first salt hotel and populated by road-tripping tourists. The harsh beauty and desolateness of Salar de Uyuni can make for an incredible experience or a logistical nightmare. Here’s a guide to help.

After a quick stop in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, we made our way to the town of Uyuni, a remote community in the Bolivian highlands. Here, in what is classified as a cold desert, lies a natural phenomenon known as Salar de Uyuni, the Uyuni salt flats. This salt desert plain is almost 12,000 square kilometers huge, and it is truly one of the most striking places we've ever been in. We can't recommend it enough and hope you enjoy the video????

Oruro Carnival
Each year in Oruro, just before Ash Wednesday, the city of Oruro hosts the Carnaval de Oruro, one of the most important folkloric and cultural events in all of South America. The festival features over 28,000 dancers, performing a broad variety of ethnic dances. Around 10,000 musicians accompany the dancers. Unlike carnival in Rio where a new theme is chosen each year, carnival in Oruro always begins with the diablada or devil dance. It is considered to retain most of the artistic expression coming from pre-Columbian America.
Cerro Rico, Potosi
The “rich mountain” or “Cerro Rico” that towers over the city of Potosí once held the silver that lured Spanish Conquistadors to the world’s highest city. Cerro Rico is the ideal travel destination for those who want to explore the affect that colonization had upon the indigenous people of Bolivia. Although the silver is long gone, tin is still mined from Cerro Rico. Visitors may tour the mines as well as the Casa Nacional de Moneda, a museum that once housed the royal mint.

Salar de Uyuni, amid the Andes in southwest Bolivia, is the world’s largest salt flat. Its otherworldly expanse can be observed from central Incahuasi Island. Though wildlife is rare in this unique ecosystem, it harbors many pink flamingos.

1. Salar de Uyuni
