Floating Huts & Eco Rooms in the Middle of Tehri Lake by Le Roi - Tehri Jheel Uttarakhand
There are altogether twenty Huts floating in the centre of the Tehri lake tied together giving the complete view of the entire Tehri lake and mountains surrounded all over and the Chanti Bridge nearby. The huts are well maintained and can be approached from the mainland by a speed boat kept for pick and drop. Tehri Lake is surrounded by hills with forest cover. The Le ROI, Floating Huts & Eco Rooms are well furnished and well maintained. There are proper arrangements for restaurant service so that guests can enjoy their daily meal along with the view. The staff are accommodative and look after your needs with a smile. The first sun rays on the lake water is a wonderful sight. The huts give one a nice feeling when it moves a bit with the waves.

We started the day from a place which is 15 kms from Uttarkashi and did night stay at a place called Bhiri. This is 12 km short of Guptkashi.

एक होमस्टे ऐसा भी... उत्तरकाशी जिले में प्रकृति के करीब बसा है बारसू गाँव... दयारा बुग्याल की तलहटी में स्थित यह गाँव अपनी खूबसूरती के लिए प्रसिद्ध है। समुद्र ताल से 2100मीटर की ऊँचाई पर स्थित इस गाँव की उत्तरकाशी से दूरी करीब 42किमी है।यहाँ आप अपनी गाड़ी या फिर प्राइवेट गाड़ियों से भी आ सकते है। उत्तरकाशी से गंगोत्री नेशनल हाईवे से भटवाड़ी और फिर भटवाड़ी से 10 किमी की दूरी पर बारसू गाँव स्थित है।
बारसू गाँव में आज से करीब 20 साल पहले बुग्याल सराय होमस्टे की नीव पड़ी जब गाँव के एक युवा रवि रावत ने टैंट और रिंगाल की छोटी झोपड़ी में अपने दोस्त मुकुल मांगलिक के साथ इसकी शुरुआत की। तब कोई होमस्टे के बारे में जानता भी नहीं था।लेकिन धीरे धीरे जब बारसू में अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सैलानी पहुंचने लगे तो फिर लोगों की इसकी अहमियत समझ आई।
बुग्याल सराय अपने नैसर्गिक सौंदर्य के साथ ही आर्गेनिक फ़ूड के लिए जाना जाता है। यहाँ आपको स्थानीय सब्जियों के साथ ही ट्राउड मछली भी खाने को मिल जाएगी।

भितरी गॉंव फतेह पर्वत पट्टी का सबसे बड़ा गॉंव है।इस गाँव में 250 परिवार रहते है।मोरी से आगे इस इलाके में पंचगाई,बडॉसू, अडोर,सिंगतुर और फतेह पर्वत पट्टी आती है।
भितरी गाँव भी फतेह पर्वत पट्टी में स्थित है।

इस गॉंव से एक अमर प्रेम कहानी जुड़ी हुई है।भितरी गाँव का गज्जू सिंह चौहान का दोणी गाँव की सलारी और मलारी से प्रेम था।दोनो बहने खेतों और जंगलों में जाती थी और धीरे धीरे उनका प्रेम परवान चढ़ गया।ये बात जब उनके परिजनों को पता चली तो उन्होंने दोनों बहनों को घर में बंद कर दिया और धीरे धीरे उनकी तबियत बिगड़ने लगी।जब दोनों बहनों की हालात बहुत ज्यादा खराब हुई तो फिर उन्होंने गज्जू को बुलाया और अंत में दोनों ने उसकी बाहों में दम तोड़ दिया।उसके बाद गज्जू सिंह ने भी शादी नही की।इस अमर प्रेम कहानी के किस्से और कहानियाँ यहाँ के लोग गीतों में सुने जा सकते है।
भितरी गांव में तेजी से अब होम स्टे शुरू हो रहे है।इस गॉंव से आप दोणी से भी जा सकते है। गॉंव अब सड़क मार्ग से जुड़ा चुका है।नैटवाड़ से 22 किमी की दूरी पर ये गाँव स्थित ह जबकि भितरी से दोणी 8 किमी की दूरी पर स्थित है।सड़क मार्ग से केवल 4 किमी पैदल सफर कर आप भितरी गाँव पहुँच सकते है।
भितरी गाँव किसी समय भेड़ पालन का प्रमुख गाँव है।यहाँ हर परिवार के पास सौ से ज्यादा भेड़ हुआ करती थी लेकिन अब धीरे धीरे भेड़ पालन व्यवसाय कम हो गया है।भेड़ पालन के साथ साथ खेती बाड़ी में यहां राजमा,चौलाई,आलू,मंडुवा जैसे पारंपरिक अनाज का उत्पादन होता है।पूरा गाँव की सबसे बड़ी खूबी लकड़ी के आलीशान मकान है जो देवदार या कैल की लकड़ी से बनाये जाते है।

Uttarkashi district was created on February 24, 1960 out of what then constituted the parganas of Rawain and Uttarkashi of Rawain tahsil of erstwhile Tehri Garhwal district. It sprawls in the extreme north-west corner of the state over an area of 8016 sq. kms. in the rugged terrain of the mystic Himalayas. On its north lie Himachal Pradesh State and the territory of Tibet and the district of Chamoli in the east. The district is named after its headquarters town Uttarkashi, an ancient place with rich cultural heritage and as the name suggests is the Kashi of north (Uttara) held almost as high a veneration as Kashi of the plain (Varanasi). Both the Kashi of the plain (Varanasi) as well as the Kashi of north are situated on the banks of the river Ganga (Bhagirathi). The area which is held sacred and known as Uttarkashi, lies between the rivers Syalam Gad also known as the Varuna and Kaligad also known as the Asi. The Varuna and the Asi are also the names of the rivers between which the Kashi of the plain lies. One of the holiest Ghats in Uttarkashi is Manikarnika so is the one by the same name in Varanasi. Both have temples dedicated to Vishwanath.
