The words maa and mata are commonly used in India for mother, and thus are often used in connection with Vaishno Devi. ... Vaishno Devi Mandir is a popular Hindu templededicated to the Hindu Goddess, located in the Trikuta Mountains in Katra, Jammu and Kashmir, India.
2.Raghunath Temple:
Jammu is the city of temples and has a number of temples and shrines and the most famous temple if the Raghunath Mandir which is 130 years old.
3.Mubarak Mandi palace:
The architecture of the palace is an elaborate blend of Rajasthani, Mughal and European influences. One of its most spectacular segment, The Shesh Mahal or The Pink Hall houses the Dogra Art Museum which has several miniature paintings and Emperor Shah Jahan's golden bow and arrow, among other interesting things. The oldest building in this Palace complex date to 1824, having seen its own share of time and gathering specimens from all these ages, becoming one itself.
4.Mansar Lake:
Fringed by dense forest, small parks, temple and low lying hills, Lake Mansar, together with its twin lake surinsar, is a very popular picnic spot and Pilgrimage site. Over and mile in length and half a mile in width, it is situated 62 km from Jammu. Besides being a popular excursion site, it shares the legend and sanctity of Lake Mansarovar. One can also visit the surinsar lake and the Surinsar - Mansar wildlife sanctuary nearby. Mansar is a perfect destination to escape from the hectic schedule of life, immerse in nature and rediscover yourself.
5.Bahu Fort:
Jammu city is referred to as the Gateway to Heaven, and the impeccable beauty and magnificence of the Bahu Fort surely stand to be a significant contributing factor. Located only 5 km from the central part of the city, the Bahu Fort stands tall and sturdy on the left bank of the Tawi River. Raja Bahucholan constructed this magnificent fort over 3000 years ago, making it one of the oldest monument in the city. The Dogra rulers then made some restorations and renovations to the fort and extended its reach.
6.Amar Mahal Museum:
Constructed by King Raja Amar of Dogra in 1890s, this museum was planned by a French architect and looks like a French chateau with Indian artisans. It was home to the royal family for many years.
7.Shiv Khori:
Shivkhori is a famous cave shrine of Hindus devoted to lord Shiva, situated in the Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir state in India.
8.Ranbireshwar Temple:
Raghunath Temple consists of a complex of seven Hindu shrines, each with its own Shikhara. It is one of the largest temple complexes of north India. It is located in Jammu in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir.
9.Mahamaya Temple:
Situated behind the majestic Bahu Fort and overlooking the glorious Tawi River, the Mahamaya Temple is a unique construction with a rich backstory. Unlike most temples of India, this exquisite creation was built to honour Mahamaya, a local freedom fighter of the Dogra community, who sacrificed her life about 14 centuries ago to save her region from foreign invaders. This temple attracts scores of devotees throughout the year who come to pay their respects to the great heroine.
10.Ranbir Canal:
Ranbir Canal is a serene picnic spot situated about 2 kms from Jammu, in Jammu and Kashmir. ... It takes off from left of Chenab River up-stream Akhnoor Bridge, 25 km north-east of Jammucity and passes through four taluks of Jammu District (Jammu, R S Pura, Bishnah and Samba.)

In today's video we visited Krimchi temples which are at Udhampur Jammu.
Krimchi Group of Temples is located in Krimchi, a small village located in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir. These exceptionally beautiful ancient temples are believed to have been built in the 11th-12th century AD, and locally, they are also known as the Pandava Temples. There are seven ancient Hindu temples in this famous tourist religious site in Jammu, of which four are large and three are small, and all of them are dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Krimachi is a small town located at about 10 Kms to the north of Udhampur on the Udhampur -Lander road at an elevation of 730 m above the mean sea level.
The latitude 32.9 and longitude 75.1 are the geo coordinates of village Krimachi.Two streams Birunallah(Birma) and Bhuteshwari Ganga drain the fertile area of Krimachi.The history of Krimachi is a matter of conjecture and is covered under the thick mist of time. However,The local tradition says that in the olden days,it used to be the halting place on the Jammu -Kashmir route through Banihal.It is also believed that Krimachi was founded by King Kichak, a contemporary of Pandavas.While Pandavas were wandering in exile from place to place, they happened to come here and stayed here for a considerable time.It so happened that King Kichak cast an amorous look at Draupadi and gesticulated with malice intentions.His behaviour angered Bhima who killed the king and Krimachi remained without a king for a very long time.Another tradition says that Bhupal Singh of village Landhar came to Krimachi and constructed his palace within the walls of the fort at Garh Top.As he had no offspring , Krimachi became kingless again after his death.Still another tradition says that Kirmachi was the capital of Bhuti whch had been one of the principalities of Jammu region under the successors of Daya Karan who was sent to rule over Jammu by his father,Puran Karan,the ruler of Kashmir at that time.According to Dewan Narsingh Dass Nargis,the writer of ‘Tareekh Dogra Desh’, the descendents of King Daya Karan ruled Krimachi for a pretty long time and their dynasty was known as Bhutial Dynasty.King Som Dutt of the same clan also came to Krimachi and established his principality named Bhuti which included the area upto Landhar with its capital at Krimachi.King Bhadur Singh is also believed to have ruled Bhuti during the period of Raja Ranjit Dev of Jammu.The last ruler of this dynasty Himmat Singh was defeated by Maharaj Ranjit Singh and ultimately the Bhuti was given to Maharaja Gulab Singh.
Krimachi is famous for world famous Krimachi temples also called Pandava temples which have been declared as protected monument by Archaeological Survey of India.
Besides the internationally famous temples, Krimachi is famous for a historical fort located on the top of a hillock called Garh Top, about 200 m from the road,commanding a beautiful, enchanting and panaromic view of all the sides of surrounding areas as far as Narore-Banjala on one side, Garnai on other side, Gandala-Tirchi on eastern side and Charakwalan and Orah on the northern western side.Inside the fort, there is a land of about six kanals.From each of the four corners of the plateau, one can have a breathtaking view of the beautiful mountains, meadows and lush green fields, meandering rivers and Pandava temples. This historical fort, also called ‘Bhutial ka Kila’ .In the fort, there is an ancient temple of Mahakali and a newly built temple dedicated to Mahakali,which attracts a large number of devotees from across Udhampur. The fort has now been adopted by the Patnitop Development Authority which has initiated a slew of measures since 2013 to develop it into a prominent historical,archaelogical and tourist site. Many viewpoints enroute and at the site have been constructed to promote tourism. A park has also been developed enroute and on the site where benches have been provided to enable the visitors to take rest and enjoy the enchanting view of nature all around.Plants of various types of medicinal and ornamental plants such as bel, peepal, banyan, rose, bananas etc have been planted.An amphitheatre having a capacity to accomodate about 500 people, has been constructed by Patnitop Development Authority.The parks have been covered by fencing and pathways with hedge.

Krimchi Temple |5000 years old temple in Udhampur -Jammu|Best place to visit in Udhampur|Vlog no.1
Krimchi is a tiny village in the Udhampur district of the state of Jammu and Kashmir. This district is famous for its mineral deposits.
Krimchi is the site of one of the oldest temple complexes of Jammu. Believed to have been constructed in the 11th - 12th century AD, this group of temples, also locally known as the Pandava Temples. Consists of 4 large and 3 small temples dedicated to Lord Shiv. The architecture of the temples shows distinct Greek (Hellenic) influences. As per the legends, Raja Kichak of Mahabharat was said to be the creator of town Krimchi and the Kingdom. It is also said that Pandavas while in exile remained there for a long period.
Tourist attractions at Krimchi include the ruins of Three Ancient Temples. These three temples are perhaps the oldest temples in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. These temples are situated on a stone complex and a small stream flows nearby. The architecture on these ruins suggests a very strong Greek influence. The architecture on the walls of these temples is abstract. There are sculptures of deities like Ganesh, Shiva and Parvati. The main temple is around 50 feet high. On their way to these temples, pilgrims usually stop over at the sarai Krimchi. Travel to Krimchi automatically means a tour to Sudhmahadev-Mantalai Shrine. At a little distance from Krimchi lies Pancheri, which is a picturesque Hill Resort. Tours to Krimchi give tourists an opportunity to appreciate the ancient culture and heritage of Kashmir, India.
