Washington, DC is a small city along the east coast of the USA, bordering the Potomac River and states Maryland and Virginia. As the US capital city, it boosts many historical landmarks, government buildings, monuments, memorials, and museums. It's easy to get around by foot or by using Capital Bikeshare/Scooter program, Bus and Subway system. While most visitors begin at the National Mall with the White House and National Cathedral to the north and Washington Monument to the south. Popular attractions from here include the nation's Smithsonian buildings - the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum and the National Museum of Natural History; the Reflecting Pool surrounded by the beautiful Cherry Blossoms, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, and the Lincoln Memorial; the International Spy Museum and downtown shopping in #CityCenterDC and historic #Georgetown. Just across the Potomac River, is the Arlington National Cemetery where you can witness the moving memorial grounds and changing of the guard for the tomb of the unknown soldier. If you’re like most Americans, living on the shore of a lake, river or ocean is a dream. Something about living near water attracts most of us. The downside is, we all can't. There are problems Most places are far too expensive and other places like Gary, Indiana are so run down, free is too expensive.
Today's list is about lake towns that you don't have to be rich to live in. We are looking at the cheapest lake towns you can afford and might be ready to call a realtor. They have lake towns in every state. From California to Georgia to Missouri and every state in between.
If you enjoy these videos I would love to hear about it. Most of these videos are made to help people who are thinking about relocating, looking for real estate, or just wanting to learn about the United States. We look at the best and worst cities, states, towns, and neighborhoods in the United States. But, most of the time focus on the negative side of locations. If you only want some happy positive information about a city, town, or state, I would suggest looking up local mortgage and real estate companies or maybe the locations website. They are trying to sell you something so it will be nothing but sunshine, rainbows, and a bunch of smoke up your skirt. They won't tell you about crime, poverty, bail bondsmen, or insurance you'll need because of natural disasters. I will. And I will try and make it entertaining.

Missouri State Park Lakes: Harry S Truman Lake and Lake Pomme De Terre
During my April-May 2023 visit to Missouri, there was a day off from the Light Sport Repairman Maintenance training that I was attending. On this day off, I did some vacationing and took a drive to visit the lake country in Central Missouri.
I first visited the Harry S Truman State Park, and went to several of the pull offs along the shores of the Harry S Truman Lake.
Next, I travelled to the Lake Pomme De Terre State Park, and visited several of the stops along the shores of Lake Pomme De Terre.
This video is a compilation of the pictures I took on this drive.
