Russia has always been on my list of places to visit! I think it will surprise many people how beautiful and welcoming the country is to tourists. I absolutely loved my time joining a free walking tour, visiting the Hermitage and exploring the local culture and cuisine! My stay at Corinthia Hotel was very pleasant and the location is absolutely perfect.

In this video, we will walk through St. Petersburg (Russia) in the area of the Peter and Paul Fortress: along the Kronverkskaya Embankment to the Birzhevoy Bridge and back to the Troitsky Bridge across the Peter and Paul Fortress. The Peter and Paul Fortress is the center of St. Petersburg, the Capital of the Russian Empire. A city inspired by Europe and copying it! People who came to Moscow from St. Petersburg did not understand where they had ended up ... in the village?
This is the second part of a large walk in St. Petersburg, which took place on September 6, Sunday. In the next parts, we will cross the Troitsky Bridge and walk along the central streets of the city, go to shops and drink coffee in one of the small restaurants in St. Petersburg. Saint Petersburg is the second-largest city in Russia. It is situated on the Neva River, at the head of the Gulf of Finland on the Baltic Sea, with a population of roughly 5.4 million residents. In modern times, the city has the nickname of the Northern Capital and serves as a home to some federal government bodies such as the Constitutional Court of Russia and the Heraldic Council of the President of the Russian Federation. It is also a seat for the National Library of Russia and a planned location for the Supreme Court of Russia, as well as the home to the headquarters of the Russian Navy, and the Western Military District of the Russian Armed Forces. The Historic Centre of Saint Petersburg and Related Groups of Monuments constitute a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Saint Petersburg is home to the Hermitage, one of the largest art museums in the world, the Lakhta Center, the tallest skyscraper in Europe, and was one of the host cities of the 2018 FIFA World Cup and the UEFA Euro 2020.

Skip to 03:22 to enjoy a relaxing 4K Tour / Montage of Saint Petersburg's most famous sights and attractions! It's every bit like exploring the city on your own, but faster!
What was supposed to be a quick work trip to St.Petersburg grew into a rather challenging video idea - is it possible to see all the sights of Saint Petersburg on foot in the span of a day? What if the day starts in Moscow? And what if you need to get back home before 24 hours tick by? The short answer to all these questions is yes... If you get a bit creative.
I invite you to follow along as I take on the Northern Capital, as it's often called in Russia. The trip, by car, would take eight hours. By train- a little over ten. A quick flight turns into a five hour ordeal given airport security and traffic.
Thankfully, the Sapsan Bullet train gave me just the head start I needed to speedrun Saint Petersburg. When everything was said and done, I was back at home exactly 22 hours after I started, having traveled 1400 km by train and 32km by foot. I won't go into how many cups of coffee it took to fuel this random act of tourism.
I managed to capture all the most famous sights Saint Petersburg has to offer, but didn't venture inside any of them, with the exception of St. Isaacs Cathedral and its Observation Deck. The route I chose turned into a pretty good Meet the City kind of tour. Some of the footage I captured is really breathtaking, and I certainly hope you enjoy watching the sights of St. Pete as much as I enjoyed filming them. I really appreciate you taking the time to watch!
