Lyon, also spelled in English as Lyons, is the third-largest city and second-largest metropolitan area of France. It is located at the confluence of the rivers Rhône and Saône, 391 km (243 mi) southeast of Paris, 278 km (173 mi) north of Marseille, 113 km (70 mi) southwest of Geneva.

Balade moto dans le Sidobre près de Castres dans le Tarn (81).
Petite balade moto le 13 août 2019 après-midi direction le Sidobre dont le premier site ne se trouve qu’à 65 km, soit à 1h10 de Carcassonne en passant par la Montagne Noire et Mazamet.
Pour ceux qui ne connaissent pas, le massif du Sidobre est une exception géologique unique en Europe composé du plus grand ensemble de rochers granitiques de France et c’est le premier centre français de production de granit.
Il est situé à onze kilomètres à l'est de Castres dans le département du Tarn, , à la pointe sud-ouest du massif central, entre Lacrouzette, Ferrières, Saint-Salvy-de-la-Balme et Lafontasse.
Il est délimité à l'est par les monts de Lacaune, au sud par le « sillon du Thoré et la montagne Noire, à l'ouest par la dépression sédimentaire de Castres.
C’est assez fascinant de voir ces gigantesques cailloux défier les lois de la gravité comme par exemple la Peyro Clabado (la pierre clouée) qui pèse près de 800 tonnes et qui tient miraculeusement en équilibre sur un roc plus petit et sur une surface d’un mètre carré !
C'est un magnifique territoire granitique de près de 5 000 hectares recouverts de forêts.
Le Sidobre est une importante zone d'exploitation et de façonnage du granite, dans toutes ses applications comme les monuments funéraires, mais aussi pour les voiries (trottoirs, places, bâtiments…) ou encore les intérieurs des habitations (cuisines, salles de bain), et bien plus de créations.
Loin du tourisme de masse, nous pouvons découvrir les impressionnants rochers du Sidobre tels que :
la Peyro Clabado (de l'occitan Pèira Clavada (pierre clouée)
le Roc de l'oie, rocher évoquant une oie
les Trois Fromages, trois énormes rocs superposés
le rocher tremblant des Sept-Faux, bloc mobile de 900 tonnes
le sentier des Merveilles avec l'Éléphant, le Billard, la Langue, le fauteuil du diable, etc.
les chaos granitiques de la Resse, La Balme, La Rouquette, Secun, etc. sont formés de rocs plus ou moins arrondis par l'érosion, qui ont dévalé les pentes et se sont calés sur le lit de ruisseaux où rivières
le lac du Merle, lac d'où émergent des rochers arrondis
le Saut de la truite, cascade de 25 m de hauteur
le sentier des Légendes à Saint-Salvy-de-la-Balme avec le plus grand chaos (rivière de rochers) du Sidobre
le sentier de la Maison du Sidobre, pour découvrir les origines de ces rochers insolites.
Télépéage 30 km/h à la Barrière de péage de Sorigny (A10)

Selvino 2015: Cargo of Hope
The Children of Selvino were a group of approximately 800 Jewish children,
orphaned by the Holocaust, rescued after World War II
from ghettos and concentration camps and housed in a former
Fascist children's home called Sciesopoli, in the Alpine town
of Selvino, Italy.
With the generous help of the Jewish community in Milan and
many Italian citizens, among them are
Luigi Gorini (Righteous Among the Nations),
Marcello Cantoni, and Elio Ottolenghi.
The house was run by Moshe Zeiri, along with members of
a Jewish unit of the British Army, stationed in Northern Italy.
