What is the point of parks? ????????♂️
In Bulgaria ???????? I found they have a very interesting perspective of what a park should be.
In this country, they value nature quite a lot. The cities are full of parks and gardens, but the interesting part is that, the bigger the park, the less they “touch it”, meaning they let nature grow wild.
As someone said to me: “ people come to the park to get in touch with nature… this is nature, enjoy it and let it be” ???? ????
Some of us have gotten so used to comfort that we expect everything to match our preferences and needs, but if there is one thing we need to maintain as it is, it’s nature ????

Копривщица е град в Западна България, Софийска област. Намира се в близост до градовете Пирдоп, Клисура, Стрелча и Панагюрище. Градът е център и единствено населено място в община Копривщица. В исторически повествования е наричан „Бунтовната столица на българското Възраждане“. Той е един от центровете на Априлското въстание през 1876 г. и е известен с автентичната си българска архитектура и с фестивалите на народната музика , което го прави туристическа дестинация.Априлското въстание от 1876 година е въоръжено въстание на българите в Османската империя. Избухва преждевременно на 20 април в Копривщица и е организирано от Гюргевския революционен комитет. Въпреки че е неуспешно, то представлява своеобразен връх на българското националноосвободително движение. Днешните оценки са, че въстанието, макар и незавършило с военен успех, постига друга своя основна цел – политическата, тъй като народният бунт за независимост намира силен отзвук в Западна Европа и особено в Русия.
Koprivshtitsa is a historic town in the Koprivshtitsa Municipality in Sofia Province, central Bulgaria, lying on the Topolnitsa River among the Sredna Gora mountains. It was one of the centres of the April uprising in 1876 and is known for its authentic Bulgarian architecture and for its folk music festivals, making it a tourist destination. Koprivshtitsa preserves the atmosphere of the Bulgarian National Revival period of the 19th century. The town is huddled in the mountain-folds, 111 km east of Sofia. The town has a number of architectural monuments from the period, 383 in all, most of which have been restored to their original appearance. Collections of ethnographical treasures, old weapons, National Revival works of art, fretwork, household weaves and embroidery, national costumes and typical Bulgarian jewelry have also been preserved. It was here that the first shot of the April Uprising against the Ottoman domination was fired in 1876.

Village Kovachevitsa was founded at the end of the 17th century AD. The first cell school was built in 1830, and its church St. Nikolas – in 1848, turning Kovachevitsa into the cultural center of the entire region. The quaint architectural style of building has not been changed since the founding of the village. The only building materials used are stone and wood. The magnificent architectural solutions used in ancient times are still applied unaltered today. Kovachevitsa has repeatedly served as the natural historical stage for the shooting of numerous films. In 1977 the village was declared a national architectural and historical reservation. (

The Longest Dream: The walk across Bulgaria
1st of March 2015 I started to walk from the house I grew up in and went to explore the world. To see how it really is in a country, walking through small villages, talk with people, see places I normally don't see.
The journey started in Didam, the Netherlands and eventually I ended up in Greece, where I decided to stop walking. Went to Bulgaria and fell in love with the country and the people in it!
