Tanque Verde Ridge Trail | Saguaro National Park
We hiked 4.4 miles round trip on the Tanque Verde Ridge Trail in the Rincon Moutain District (East) of Saguaro National Park, in Tucson, AZ. We hiked at the end of February and the weather was great. A good hike in winter and early spring.
The trail is moderately trafficked and well maintained. It has a steady gradual elevation with a beautiful panorama of the city of Tucson and the mountains around. The trail is quiet (except for helicopters from time to time). The terrain is a bit rocky. You can hike as far as you want and turn around any time the way you came. We wanted a day hike so that's what we did.
Bring more water than you would, particularly on a hot day as there is no shade at all on the trail. There is no water at the trailhead and you can refill at the Visitor center when getting into the pack. For footwear, wearing good hiking shoes is a must.

Navigating up to this 80 foot waterfall known as Tanque Verde Falls was a more grand experience than we thought we were getting into for the day. While it's less than a 2 mile hike, it's a choose your own adventure rather than a true wilderness footpath. You are constantly figuring out your next move and two moves ahead when there is water gushing through the canyon. Definitely try this one out if you're in Tucson, Arizona. We had so much fun! Tanque Verde Guest Ranch 3 Stars Hotel in Tucson, Arizona Within US Travel Directory Located 1.6 km from Saguaro National Park, this guest lodge offers a western ranch experience with orse riding, hiking and fishing. All rooms include free Wi-Fi.

Hey Dude Set Visit - Tanque Verde Ranch, Tucson, AZ - Another Amazing Adventure
Being old-school Nickeodeon fans (and Kyle being a self-proclaimed Hey Dude fanatic), we decided to book at stay at the Tanque Verde Ranch in Tucson, the same ranch where Nick's first scripted series was taped.
As seen on the show, the Bar None Ranch was actually a separate, isolated set built on the Tanque Verrde property specifically for Hey Dude. 30 years after production ended, portions of the set remain standing on the ranch property. According to ranch staff, despite talk of tearing down what remains, there are currently no set plans to remove the set at this time.
Join us as we tour what's left the Hey Dude production set.

- Tanque Verde Ridge- Hiking Saguaro National Park
This video finds us in Saguaro National Park East just outside of Tucson, Arizona, on 12-30-2017 hiking the Tanque Verde Ridge Trail. The trail climbs steadily from the trail head and goes for several more miles than what we hiked. The 6.15 miles that we did climbed 1890 feet and took us 4 hours to complete. There are numerous different cacti here and the scenery is quite nice.
