PAMPLONA, Negros Oriental | Tourist Spots you can visit | Rabitton | Cafe Alicia | fb CM Vallega

Pamplona is a municipality in Negros Oriental located about 38 kilometers from the Negros Oriental capital city of Dumaguete. Its one of the only three municipalities in Negros Oriental that doesn’t have a shoreline. The municipality is bordered by the municipality of Sta Catalina to the west, Tanjay to the north, Sibulan to the south and Amlan to the east. The main language spoken in Pamplona is a local dialect of the Filipino language known as Cebuano, however, English is also widely spoken as it is the official language (together with Filipino) of the country.

BRIEF HISTORY OF PAMPLONA
This municipality was created by the Republic Act No 535 in 1950 from the municipality of Tanjay. It officially became a municipality on June 16th, 1950 whereby it was initially a barrio of the Tanjay municipality. It has a population of 34,000 as per its 2010 census count with a population density of about 173 people per kilometers square. This municipality covers an area of about 200 kilometers square with most of this area being hilly.

Getting to Pamplona
Pamplona is one of the municipalities that is not located along the shorelines of Negros Oriental. Up in the chilly breeze of the mountains, Pamplona lies about 38 km away from the busy street of Dumaguete.

One way in getting to Pamplona at the same time enjoy the Filipino lifestyle experience is first getting to Tanjay City. Ceres bus will charge (about Php 50-air-conditioned and Php 40-non-air-conditioned) for the 30- minute ride going to Tanjay. Upon reaching Tanjay, one can simply ride a pot-pot (local bicycle rides) that costs about Php 10.00 only going to Pamplona. The ride takes about another 10-15 minutes uphill, enough time for you to have a relaxing and sight-seeing ride in a pot-pot.

SIGHTS of TANJAY CITY | Christmas 2022 | Negros Oriental

I got to know Tanjay City in Negros Oriental as a lively, very clean city. I visited the City Hall, Rizal Park, the beautiful church, the Christmas market stalls and the even livelier public market.

Here in town, our daughter Jenny and her husband Gary have been running a MIRACLE WASH LAUNDROMAT on Legaspi street, just around the corner from Rizal street, next to City Hall.

Here your laundry will be washed, dried and folded with care by a competent and friendly staff in no time.

TANJAY CITY BOULEVARD DRONE VIDEO

A Philippines street walk 1 #tanjaycity of Negros Oriental Island, Tanjay City

During the evening of Miss Tanjay City July of 2022, I take to the Street to Candid film the Tanjayanon Peoples of Negros Oriental Philippines. Smiles everywhere, foods on BBQ, and deep fried meets and fish. A wonderful place to visit with an incredible friendly Filipinos. I am the Admin: of (Philippines the beautiful) Group on FLICKR, I also am the Admin: of Negros Orientals largest online Forum @Dumaguete Info.com. I have loved and promoted the Philippines and it's Culture, Peoples and events for over 17 years. Cheers and visit the wonderful Philippines.

Public Market Christmas 2022 TANJAY CITY Negros Oriental

I had the opportunity to visit TANJAY CITY in Negros Oriental. I found a very beautiful city that was very lively just before Christmas. On Rizal Street, I was able to take a look at the City Hall and pay a visit to the adjacent Rizal Park. Everything is very clean and well-maintained. Opposite the City Hall is the church decorated for Christmas at this time with a Christmas market around it.

The reason for our visit was MIRACLE WASH LAUNDROMAT on Legaspi Street, owned by our daughter with her husband Gary. This is where your laundry is taken care of and treated well.

The Tanjay City public market is just a few steps away and there was a hustle and bustle of the market. Here I found some of the friendliest people, some of whom I had the pleasure of meeting in a brief conversation. Standing out was a group of teenage carol singers who gave a really great performance.

My experience in Tanjay City, Negros Oriental, Philippines, the city is always worth a visit with friendly people.

Tanjay City Ride Life | Pamplona Trip | Negros Oriental

This is the 2nd leg of the northbound trip to Pamplona, Negros Oriental. In this video, we will pass the city of Tanjay and have quick stop. This is to highlight the ride life of Tanjay City. The town is located 38 kilometres (24 mi) northwest from the provincial capital, Dumaguete City and 7.5 kilometres (4.7 mi) west of Tanjay City.

The ride started in the coastal road in Brgy. Senyora Ascion, San Jose and ended in the town proper of Pamplona.

This is the 2nd time I created a ride video as a series. The first one was in the roads of Cebu to Balamban.

In this video, we will have a quick tour in the City of Tanjay. We can see the wonderful scenery along the road which includes fish ponds, rice fields and other places as we explore what it really looks like and feels to be there.

Enjoy viewing the video as I ride in a clear sunny day.

Tanjay-Bindoy Chill Ride | Negros Oriental

Hello viewers! This is my Tanjay-Bindoy Chill Ride. As a sunny Sunday just came after a long queue of typhoons that provided heavy rains in the past few days, I quickly had a northbound ride from Tanjay City to Bindoy town in Negros Oriental via the Bacolod North Road [7] / Western Nautical Highway.

With the duration of the ride video, you can see the colourful city of Tanjay, the expanse of sugar cane plantations in Bais City and Manjuyod town. The highlight of this ride is the scenic coastal view of Himampangon cliff in Brgy. Balaas in the town of Manjuyod and the vivid coastline in Brgy. Malaga, Bindoy.

Enjoy watching the video! Much appreciated to watch it 'til the end.
