Kolsay Lakes National Park is located on the north slope of the Tian Shan Mountains, southeast Kazakhstan. Often referred to as Pearls of Tien Shan, the park's main feature are the Kolsay Lakes located between the Raiymbek District and Talgar District of Almaty Region. The scenic Lake Kaindy is also within the park.
Charyn National Park officially, Charyn Canyon National Nature Park is a national park in Kazakhstan, stretching along the Charyn River, including Charyn Canyon.

Kazakhstan is the richest country in Central Asia, due to its large oil and natural gas reserves. The country is also the largest landlocked country. The country inherited the culture of the ancient Silk Road, Nomadic lifestyle and the Soviet Union which had a great influence on its formation. This mixture makes Kazakhstan so different from any other country in the region and in the world.
Cities
Aktobe — an industrial city located in the eastern part of Europe.
Almaty — largest city, and capital prior to December 1998. Definitely a must-see. Beside the Soviet-style city, you may want to go to the Medeu and other places in the nearby mountains.
Atyrau — oil capital of Kazakhstan, where large onshore Tengiz and offshore Kashagan oilfields are located.
Karaganda — industrial city between Astana and Almaty; worth visiting if you like mining history.
Nursultan (Astana, Aqmola) — second largest city, and capital since December 1998. Worth visiting but you only need a few days to get to the most recommended sightseeings. The city is brand new and being built very rapidly. If you want to see what Aqmola / Astana (Nursultan's previous names) looks like, you need to do it now as the old city is disappearing quite rapidly.
Pavlodar — Kazakh city in very north of the country, founded in 1720, closed until 1992 for its military significance in tank production, and home to one very impressive mosque, as well as other interesting Orthodox churches and various memorials
Shymkent — Kazakhstan's third largest city, very crowded with Uzbek people, it is an old market town located near Tashkent and some beautiful mountains; now booming with oil exploration,
Turkestan — another ancient city, long a border town between the Persian culture to the south and the Turkic nomadic culture to the north, now majority Uzbek and home to several important cultural-historical monuments
Ust-Kamenogorsk — Majority Russian mining city in the Altai mountains

Ile Alatau, also spelt as Trans-Ili Alatau, is a part of the Northern Tian Shan mountain system in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. It is the northernmost mountain range of Tian Shan stretching for about 350 km with a maximal elevation of 4,973 m. The term Alatau refers to a kind of mountain. The former capital of Kazakhstan, Almaty, is located at the foot of the range. The Ile-Alatau National Park is a protected area in the Ile Alatau.

Shymbulak Resort Cable Car Ride | Kazakhstan Travel Vlog 2023
In this Kazakhstan travel vlog, we went on a day trip from Almaty city to Shymbulak Mountain resort in the Kok-Tobe region. We took the public bus and rode thirty minutes south-east of the city and reached the Cable Car Station of Shymbulak. Along with our new Korean friends, we rode the gondolas up to level 1 and then level 2 (because level 3 was closed) and enjoyed the lovely landscapes and excellent weather. We also met many friendly Kazakhs before returning to our hostel in the city for an evening Watermelon party in the dorms with @WanderingWithPaint ????

Accommodation included in the price of the tour is standard guest houses with local residents.
The toilet is on the street, there is no shower in the house, but there is a bath for a fee of
800-1000tg per person, the houses are clean and cozy
There are 10-12 people in the
house. The room accommodates from 2-6. M and W separately. 2-m room with an additional payment of 3000 tenge per room. Book in advance, as the number is limited.
There are houses with a bathroom inside.

The Mountain Kingdom of Trans-Ili Alatau
If you decide to climb Titov Peak (3,850 m) in the Trans-Ili Alatau (Almaty region), you will see this amazing mountain scenery.Trans-Ili Alatau mountain range is located in the northwest of the Tien Shan, on the border of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan
Ile Alatau also spelt as Trans-Ili Alatau, etc., is a part of the Northern Tian Shan mountain system (ancient Mount Imeon) in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. It is the northernmost mountain range of Tian Shan stretching for about 350 km with maximal elevation of 4,973m (Talgar Peak). The term Alatau refers to a kind of mountain. The range is bounded from the north by the Ili Depression of the Ili River, hence the name.
The former capital of Kazakhstan, Almaty, is located at the foot of the range.
A mountain summit in the western Tian Shan and Ile Ala-Tau mountains is named after the late African-American entertainer and activist, Paul Robeson who advocated the U.S.-Soviet friendship.

Almaty is a former capital and most vibrant city in Kazakhstan. Most of the times I prefer city life over nature, but time to time change is needed. Almaty is surrounded by mountains and that’s exactly where I went. Was going there without expectations but day turned out to be much better than I expected. All you need is to meet right people :)

Jago 240| Hiking to Talgar Pass via Shymbulak, The Largest Ski Resort in Central Asia
On the 90th day I returned to climbing the northern part of the Tian Shan, also known as the Zailiisky Alatau. The location this time is exactly to the southeast of Almaty and can be reached by bus no. 12 to the final terminal in Medeu.
Medeu is one of the largest ice rinks at an altitude of more than 1600 meters above sea level and it is said that dozens of world records were set at this place.
From Medeu, there is a cable car that will take passengers to Shymbulak Ski Resort, the largest ski resort in Central Asia with elevation changes of up to 1000 meters. However, I chose to walk, which turned out to be all stairs and asphalt roads.
2 hours 20 minutes later I arrived in Shymbulak which turned out to be busy with visitors coming by cable car. Even though there is currently no snow for skiing, they come to enjoy the cool air with beautiful views.
From here they changed to cable car (pay again) to reach Talgar Pass, which is almost 3200 meters above sea level. Of course, this time I chose to hike again because the view was more beautiful and the dirt road was rocky.
At Talgar Pass there are yaks roaming near the yurts. It seems like it was brought here to lure tourists to stay here. This pass itself is a base camp for climbing to the highest peaks in Zailiiski Alatau.
I just climbed to the top of Shymbulak which is right next to Talgar Pass and only had to climb another 200 meters. From near the peak you can see the two sides of the valley of the Talgar Pass, which in winter are both covered with snow and used for skiing.
I arrived at the top exactly at 7pm and within 1 hour the sun would set and the sky would become dark. The cable car has also stopped operating. Finally I ran down and arrived at Medeu at 9:30pm. From there, continue by bus until you arrive back in Almaty.
The plan for tomorrow is dedicated to resting to restore stamina.
