In today's video, we're diving into the highly anticipated 37th and 38th convocations at the prestigious Better By Far institution, the University of Ilorin. The university has just released all the essential details, and I'm here to share them with you. But before we get into the convocation specifics, let's take a moment to appreciate the newly constructed Tunde Idiagbon Flyover. If you're attending the convocation, you can't miss it! One side of the flyover is already open to motorists, and I'm hopeful that it will be fully operational during the event to ease traffic congestion.
Speaking of the flyover, did you know that Major General Tunde Idiagbon, born in Ilorin, Kwara State, and of Fulani heritage, served as the 6th Chief of Staff at Supreme Headquarters? Fascinating, right?
Now, let's talk about the incredible artwork on this flyover. Despite its seemingly subdued appearance, these paintings are packed with information about Kwara State's landmarks and historical stories. From Ogbo Mona to Sobi Hill, Gaani Festival, and the awe-inspiring Owu Falls, you'll discover the rich culture and heritage of this remarkable state.
If you're attending the convocation, make sure to visit Dada Pottery in the Okelele area and experience Takai, one of the oldest talking drums in the state.

Tamale Airport (Pre-Renovation) - Tamale, Ghana
This clip dates from January 2007, and shows the OLD Tamale Airport. The dilapidated building you see here was extensively renovated for the 2008 African Cup Of Nations, and it now is quite a nice little regional field, but when this was filmed, it wasn't good - when I left a couple of days after this was filmed, I was in the departure area, and it was not enclosed, and there were huge wasps flying in & out of the area as they were nesting !
The flight is the landing scene in Tamale, and if you search my other clips, you will see the take-off via the domestic carrier CiTylink.
