Solo Road Trip to Ilocos Sur | Photography in Benguet, Cervantes, Suyo, & Quirino

DISCLAIMER: footage from this trip was shot back in January 2020

This journey was one of the most epic adventures I've had in recent memory. Please enjoy the photographs, time-lapses, and camera/drone footage! Exhausting to do alone (especially for a first vlog & multi-day solo road trip), but I think it was well worth it. As amazing as all the views were, what really made this trip as memorable as it was were the locals I met along the way. I'm truly grateful for their kindness and the warmth they showed me in our brief, but meaningful encounters.

I’ve been on the fence about finishing the edit for this one (for about a month now) because it just didn’t feel right with everything happening here in the Philippines. However, I realized that looking back at the experiences I had on this trip has been one of the few things that has given me hope during this time. As we continue to navigate and power through these dark months of quarantine lockdown, I hope this can help make your day brighter somehow.

Big thanks to Chevrolet Philippines for lending me their flagship truck, the Colorado High Country Storm!

Never thought I'd be vlogging, but watching travel vlogs from Michael Shainblum, Morten Rustad, and Kraig Adams definitely inspired me.

Treasures of Ilocos Sur, Philippines! (Cervantes , Bessang Pass Monument, Mt Tapao) Pride of Ilocos!

Hi #KaJoWa - please bear with us if this video is unpolished as we're still learning the ropes in Vlogging . :) We thank you for the support and the love - please stay tuned for more videos as we go along. Have a great day! :D

You will know HOW TO GET TO CERVANTES AND MT TABAO as you continue reading...

Join me (John Laurence Marzan) and my partner (Warren Salazar) as we explore OR as we learn about the LGBT community, life, family values, friendship, food, nature and LOVE.

Our channel name JoWa - came from the first syllable of our first names John and Warren. This channel was created so we (as a couple) can come out of our comfort zone to stay away from our anxiety issues and share what we can do as partners.

As partners (Jolo and Warren), It has been a struggle for us to interact with new groups of people. I strongly believe that as we create this channel and make contents about who we are - taking this challenge will help us show our talent, art , friendship and love.

Help us grow and share the love!

Is a hill located in Brgy Uso, Municipality of Suyo, and a Province of Ilocos Sur.
It is 308 meters above sea level.

Mt. Tapao is a new tourist spot in Municipality of Suyo it is because of an awesome place specially viewing sunset and surrounded with so many mountains it is currently under development progress, many people visiting in that place most likely are the locals in Baranggay Uso and the municipality itself.
