visitó Supe Puerto, ubicado en la provincia limeña de Barranca, donde no solo conoció sus puntos turísticos sino que saboreó sus platillos y conoció un poco más sobre la tradición gastronómico de este distrito.

Probamos desde tamalito y salchicha de Supe en el desayuno y al mediodía, podíamos disfrutar la variedad de las comidas hechas con anchoveta o el pejerrey arrebosado, cangrejos deliciosamente sazonados, cebiche de mariscos o de pato. Además, probamos el wakame, una ensalada de algas que es producto de la migración japonesa.

Pero mucho antes de ello, milenarias civilizaciones legaron al mundo soberbias muestras de un pasado glorioso como Caral; las tumbas reales de Sipán, el entierro más fastuoso de América; las enigmáticas líneas de Nasca; y la portentosa fortaleza de Kuélap.

Ciudad Sagrada de Caral, Peru
The 5000 years old sacred city of Caral, located in the Supe district in the center part of Peru.
How to visit:
It can be quite complicated to visit this place because it's location is quite remote and there's not much information to be found about. There're some day tours available from Lima, but these are quite expensive and are about 4 hours driving (one direction). So you will loose all day by traveling.
Best way to get here is to take a bus from Lima to Barranca (not Barranco, this is a district in Lima).
Barranca is a nice small city along the cost 4 hours north of Lima. You can visit the beach there, there's a big shopping district in the center and there're a lot of nice bars and lunchbars in the center. Especially the Plaza de Armas de Barranca is verry cute with quite some things to do.
Barranca is final stop when taking a bus from Lima, so nothing could go really wrong here. There're plenty of hotels, so it will be easy to stay overnight here.
From Barranca Caral-Supe/ Ciudad Sagrada de Caral is verry easy to reach.
You can take a taxi or a colectivo from here (going through Supe-pueblo) to Caral pueblo. It's not verry obvious on maps like Google Maps, but Caral pueblo is just a verry small town across the river, just North of Ciudad Sagrada de Caral.
Colectivos driving back and forth from this small town to Barranca or Supe-pueblo. So it will be easy to get back later.
From this small town, Caral pueblo, it's just a few km's walking south to the Ciudad Sagrada de Caral.

The Sacred City of Caral is located in the valley of Supe, Barranca province, 184 km north of Lima, in the north-central area of Peru. This is the most prominent urban establishment. Its size and architectural complexity is about 5,000 years old. The Sacred City of Caral is considered by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site since 2009. Its origins date back to the Late Archaic Period of Central Andes and make it the oldest center of civilization in America, comparable to ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia and China.
