Aerial China: Ya'an, Sichuan 四川雅安（Rain City）
Ya'an, a prefecture-level city in Sichuan Province, is located on the western edge of the Sichuan Basin and the eastern foothills of Qionglai Mountains. It is adjacent to Chengdu in the east, Ganzi in the west, Liangshan in the south, and Aba in the north, 120 kilometers away from Chengdu. It belongs to the mountains on the western edge of the Sichuan Basin, and it crosses the Sichuan Basin. There are two major terrain areas on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau; the climate type is subtropical monsoon humid climate; the city has a total area of 15,046 square kilometers, with 2 districts and 6 counties under its jurisdiction. Kunming, also known as Spring City, is the capital of Yunnan Province and the central city of the central Yunnan urban agglomeration. In 2020, Tongnan District will achieve a regional GDP of 47.526 billion yuan, an increase of 4.3% over the previous year. Tongnan is a shallow hilly landscape in the basin with flat terrain and an altitude of 300-450 meters; it has a subtropical humid monsoon climate with a mild climate, abundant heat, rainfall, sunshine and four seasons for farming.
Tongnan District has a long history, with the establishment of a county in 373 A.D. (the first year of Ningkang in the Eastern Jin Dynasty) and Dong'an County in 1912, which was renamed Tongnan in 1914 because it was located south of Tongchuan Prefecture. It has given birth to such great men of the times as Yang Gangong, Yang Shangkun and Yang Baibing, and nurtured such historical and cultural celebrities as Chen Tuan, the supreme Taoist, Lv Daqi, an important minister of the Ming Dynasty, and Liao Jingqiu, a master of Sichuan opera; Taian Fish, Lion Dance and Che Che Lantern are included in the municipal intangible cultural heritage, and it is the hometown of Chinese folk culture and art.
Tongnan District has humanistic attractions such as the Dafoji Scenic Area, Shuangjiang Ancient Town, and the scenic spot of Chen Tuan's hometown in Chongjian. It has 4 national key cultural relics protection units, 10 municipal-level cultural relics protection units, and 61 county-level cultural relics protection units. It is an important transportation hub in the Sichuan-Chongqing region, with the Yusui Railway, Yusui Expressway, Tongrong Expressway and the under-construction Beibei (Beibei) Anyue Expressway, and National Highway 246, National Highway 319 and National Highway 351 lines passing through the territory. In June 2017, Tongnan District was named a national health city.
Ziyang, Sichuan, China
Ziyang, a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Sichuan Province, was the county of Ziyang under Zizhou in ancient times, and was the hometown of Marshal Chen Yi, the founding father of the People's Republic of China. It is located in the middle of Sichuan Basin, adjacent to Neijiang in the south, Chengdu and Deyang in the north, Chongqing and Suining in the east, and Meishan in the west, and is the only regional central city in Sichuan Province that connects with the double core of Chengdu and Chongqing at the same time. Ziyang was established as a county in 135 BC during the Western Han Dynasty, and later as a state and county, with a history of more than 2,100 years. 35,000 years ago, the ancient Ziyang people started the history of human civilization in Sichuan.
On February 26, 1998, the State Council approved the establishment of Ziyang District, and on June 14, 2000, the State Council approved the abolition of Ziyang District and the establishment of Ziyang City at prefecture level. It now has jurisdiction over Yanjiang District, Anyue County and Lezhi County, with a total area of 5,757 square kilometers. Suining City - Let Your Heart Be On Holidays
1. History
Suining, as Deyang County in 200 AD, renamed as Suining in 347 AD and established as provincial city in 1985, has been a political, economic and cultural center in Sichuan.
2. Location
Suining is located at 105°12′26″to 106°59′49″east longitude and 30°10′50″to 31°10′50″north latitude in the middle reach of Fujiang River in central Sichuan and is 140 km away from Chengdu and Chongqing respectively.
3. Climate
Suining has a subtropical zone climate with wet monsoon. The annual average temperature is 17.4 ℃ . There is no frost for 300 days a year and the annual precipitation is 927.6mm.
4. Administrative Division
Suining city governs Chuanshan district, Anju district, She Hong county, Peng Xi county and Da Ying county, covering an area of 5300 sq km. and supporting a population of 38.2 million people. The urban area of the city is 43 sq km , supporting a population of 460,000 people.
5. Public Utilities
There is an institution of higher education and 1610 schools of various levels containing more than 660.000 students in the city. An educational system composed of higher learning, elementary education, vocational training, and adult reeducation has been established.
The city has 1 national third grade class A hospital, 1 third grade class B hospital, 3 second grade A hospital and 3 second grade B.
