Spectacular Fireworks Display in Steubenville, Ohio 2022

Drone Footage of Fourth of July Fireworks Display on The Ohio River.

CLEVELAND OHIO | What Happened To This Place?

Cleveland, Ohio is one of the poorest and most dangerous cities in America. It is full of high crime, poverty, and run down areas. Being a Rust Belt City, Cleveland has seen significant decline over the years with job losses in manufacturing / production. Steel, automotive, iron, and heavy industrial jobs just to name a few lost since the 1950's to this day. There's an unbelievable amount of abandoned homes and businesses all over areas of the town. I've seen a bit of progress since the last visit here, with places being torn down and either being turned into vacant properties or apartment complexes, but a full recovery may never happen as it was, or could it? Let's take a drive and check some of the hardest hit areas out!

What Happened To Akron, Ohio?

Akron, Ohio...WOW! High in violent crime with an unreal poverty level, this city is giving Cleveland a run for its money. This Rust Belt city has been on the decline for quite some time now, and a recovery doesn't look like it'll be happening any time soon. There's a lot of vacant houses, empty commercial buildings, and rough areas. The population has been steadily dropping for decades and good jobs are hard to come by. People are simply choosing to leave and find a better opportunity elsewhere. On the upside, the amenities are excellent, housing prices are decent, and overall cost of living is better than average. Provided you can find a job, would you take the trade off? Let's take a drive and check out some of the worst areas!

War, West Virginia | What The Hell Happened?

War, WV....WOW!! This is one of the most poverty stricken cities in the country! Located in McDowell County, West Virginia, this city has an estimated population of 662 and has a poverty rate of 49.5%! Driving through some of these Appalachian areas look like a war zone. On the flip side, the people for the most part were extremely friendly and crime is extremely low in this area. War was a former coal and timber camp, it was nicknamed Miner's City. After the war on coal and collapse of the economy, this place has been left devastated. The average income is less than $16,500 dollars per year. Let's take a drive and check some of it out!

Salem, Ohio

Salem is a city in northern Columbiana county, Ohio. The word Salem comes from the word Jerusalem which means City of Peace many of the early towns people belonged to the Religious Society of Friends, known as the Quakers. Salem was incorporated in 1830. Salem was a major hub in the American Underground Railroad. Salem is known for a small big city. It's a beautiful downtown area with a lot going on. Great shops, and restaurants. Two of my favorites right off the top are The Foundry, and Ricky's English Pub. It really feels like the holidays are here walking the streets down town all in lights and store fronts decorated. You never know who you will run into. While I was there I ran into the Grinch, and Salem has even put him in the holiday spirit.
