#KasteelvanBrasschaat #ParkvanBrasschaat #Drone #Brasschaat #Natuur

The famous Brasschaat Castle is located in the middle of one of Flanders' most beautiful parks. The impressive entrance hall with fireplace and the sunny terrace with a view of the park pond immediately immerse you in the atmosphere of luxury and grandeur from times long past. The environment with beautiful green areas, ponds, fountains and a unique rose garden immediately creates the right atmosphere. In the 18th century, the Helhoeve was converted into a pleasure garden and in 1864 it came into the possession of Count Auguste Reusens. His son had the Helhoeve demolished in 1872 and a large castle was built in its place: the Castle of Brasschaat. This castle was situated in the middle of a vast park. #Brasschaat Castle #Brasschaat Park #Drone #Brasschaat #Nature

Kasteel Ravenhof ???????? (Castle Ravenhof) ????????

Ravenhof Castle is a castle west of Putte-Stabroek, located in the estate of the same name at Oud Broek 2. As early as the 13th or 14th century, a small castle probably stood on this site. During the 14th and early 15th century this was in the possession of the Van Steenland family. Then it bore the name: Goet van Steenlant. In the 15th century it passed to the Van Immerzeel family and in 1552 it was sold to Cornelis van Tongerlo. This has developed building activities, and in 1569 there was also talk of a moated playhouse. Further owners were: Petronella Rompaerts, Johanna Hujoel, the Van der Goes family, and Hendrik Hillewerve. The latter was well off to Balthasar Moretus, descendant of the famous Antwerp printer Jan Moretus. The estate was henceforth known as Moretushof, also called Crayenhof.

Some time after the expansion, the castle came into the possession of the Assumptionist Fathers and was given the name Assumptionhof. Various Catholic organizations made use of the castle. In 1979 the castle came to the municipality of Stabroek, and since 1982 it has housed numerous socio-cultural associations. The coach house was converted into a café-restaurant.

Many countries, even developing ones, you can explore completely own your own or solo backpack, using local public transportation such as buses and trains and local infrastructure such as hostels and guesthouses. The continents of Africa and South America, though, are much harder to solo backpack, because the local public transportation and infrastructure can be unreliable, expensive, or both. Although I've solo backpacked many developing countries, even some in Africa and South America, I also pay to participate in tours when tours make more strategic and financial sense.

Despite what you may read, hear, or see about tours, the industry is so specialized that you'll find a tour to suit your priorities, wants, and needs. The best tour aggregator and selection tool, with also the best prices is TourRadar.com

For 2018, my first priority was having the most authentic and immersive experience possible with Africa's wild animals and landscapes or “bush camping.” My second priority was exploring as many countries as possible. My third priority was to do this all on a budget. TourRadar.com I used to purchase tours optimized to these exact priorities. In other words, TourRadar.com was one of the secret tools that helped me film all these WILD animal encounters!

Kerst alweer voorbij bij familie in Stabroek

In Stabroek is kerstmis alweer voorbij.
